Great list....I dont know about songs of today not being like the ones back in 99 and 2000. Every year gives way to different styles. Its hard to compare something when year after year ,something new and different appears on the scene. I enjoy the music from back then, but I also enjoy whats out today .

You'll see, Fliz.In 2004, you'll post a thread about the music not being what it was back in 2oo2. ;)

I don't know, I'm gonna have to agree with fliz here. Though music does progress, and I try and progress with it (and there are a few gems here in there)--most the time these days, I still don't get the feeling I used to get with songs from the past.

BTW...the Jody Watley and the Lulu are the shit!

Just last week I pulled out an old cd (MDMA - the first one).

For those not familiar with it, it's by skribble and anthony acid. It has song like RnG - Do it Again.

And then tuesday, just by chance I was listening to KTU around 9pm and Rizzo was pulling out the old tracks from 98-2000. He played Veronica - Set Me Free, Kim Sozzi - Feelin' Me.

And then this post.

:)

I wonder if today's music has become more trancy or housey and has lost it's progressive edge. Leaving us with no option but to go back and pull out the progressive sounds of yester years.

Just a thought.
