In case you were wondering....

Oh yes I went to the office today. But I didn't work, I don't really like to call it "going to work" anymore. Even my supervisor said, "I'm glad I have a dog. The wife, the kids, you sorry fuckers here, the dog is the only one that listens to me."

I still cant believe that I decided to up and head to new york 3 hrs before the party. I left Va around 11 and got there around 3:30. Digweed was rippin everyone a new one in there! Damn the tracks I heard were really bass heavy. i stayed till closing and then ran into amy, krish, and drunken pete. Friday sucked though. it was bad enough to drive to Ny str8, but back down was sooo fuckin mundane. 4th of july traffic blows!

I got there around 1:30. I think that's when Digweed started spinning. Loved his set. Dropped a lot of grooving basslines for the first hour, then got real tribal and dirty and then went into the hard bass heavy stuff you heard. I had an absolute blast. Left around 5:30, cause after 4 solid hours of Digweed, I was spent.

I only recognized three tunes the whole night, and only two of them, I can name: Timo Maas - Unite and Black Pearl - Baracuda. He dropped those back to back, which was cool, cause the Baracuda track is out on Timo Maas' label, so it was kind of one of those nerdy things you know the meaning of and you're like whoa, I'm pretty smart. :D He also dropped a remix of Echomen - Perpetual that I am now obsessed about finding. But I don't know who did the remix.

it was LES's mix...and it will never get a release bc Saw isn't going to pick it up, but, ya, that was another one of those music-nerdy things you know that makes it cool.

other spots:

Flash Brothers - Restless (Unknown Remix)

Depeche Mode - Only When I Lose Myself (Chris Micali feat. Ali Ajami Mix)

Black Pearl - Barracuda

Echomen - Perpetual (Low End Specialists Remix)

Timo Maas - Unite

LES:

Amber - Anyway (Porter)

the new Annie Lennox track

Wouldn't be the same. The best part about the track is how the vocal sneaks in at the first breakdown. You're grooving along, then all of a sudden, the familiar vocal comes in and you're like whoa, I know this tune.
