don't feel bad that both the pope and president of the united states of america are going to outlaw your concept of marriage...

Has anyone ever crashed a wedding? I've always thought that'd be fun. All you have to do is say things like "we used to work together" and "doesn't she look beautiful?" and "what a great ceremony."

Free drinks and brides maids.

you can't say you are thread jacking a thread! you just do it! then several posts later that smiley makes its appearance. The thread hasn't officially been jacked yet!

rookie

Kiss up

I already gave her a present for the bridal shower, but I'm just giving money for the wedding - that's usually how Russian people do it - just give money and they can spend it however they want.

Close friends or close relatives - cash $100-$200. Unless you do a group thing with other people and get them a big gift not on their registry like a 52 inch plasma TV. Everybody else, I say a registry gift that costs between $50-$100.

Oh, and don't stick $200 cash in a card if you're in the wedding party and planning to get extremely hammered and end up not remembering where you put it. Cause it'll cause you stress for the next two weeks while your friends are away on their honeymoon and you're wondering where in the hell the card is and you're trying to backtrack the events of the night but you can't figure out where you put the card because everything is just a hazey blur, and you end up assuming you lost it just to find out that you gave the card in a drunken stupor to their neighbor who was at the wedding to give to them directly when they come back from their honeymoon.
