Basically, a shit load of undercovers. Now I know that undercover cops in NYC clubs aren't that big of a deal really, but I've been going to Avalon practically every Saturday and most Fridays for the past month since Josh Wink spun there, and I not once, untill this past Saturday, have not just one person ask me, but like 6 different people who were obviously not your typical clubber, ask me for E, or if I knew someone who had E. And I saw at least, about 15-20 people in there that for sure, you could tell they were undercover cops, and there was probably more in there too. The vibe has been mad cool, everyone in there isnt usually a stuck up snob and I've met sooo many just down to earth people, who enjoy great fkn music which Avalon has been providing from my eyes and ears. But honestly, for people who've been going there a little longer than I have, is it a common thing for Avalon to be crawling with undercover pigs. Im saying, it was kinda rediculous. The fkd up part is that they must have thought that I was selling or something because I knew who they were, and them bastards were following me around the whole fkn night. Some guy gets on stage, followed by like some old men who dont belong in avalon, who were trying to dance, and sits next to me, starts asking me questions to get cool with me, then out of nowhere, asks me if I got E or do that shit....Of course I said hellzzz no, but then still asks me personal shit. When he realized he wasnt getting shit out of me, he gets up, and starts talkin to my boy who was ravin wit his glowsticks, and then some fkn wanna be drag queen sits back down, and asks me the same shit, while the big diesel dudes who followed the other guy, are just watching me to see what I say. It was basically fucked up, killed the vibe for me, and killed the fkn great night I was having.Basically, if this is going to be the case with Avalon now, I hate to say it, but it's days are basically numbered because a cop is going to catch some dumb fuck either selling or trying to buy, and under the new Rave Act, the owner of this place is going to get hit hard in the pockets, and NYC is going to do the usual as its done to other spots, shut this place down for a few.So basically again, is this a common thing in there with undercovers crawling around that place like fkn ants? Did anyone else who was there notice this shit and/ or get harrassed the whole night practically like I did? SOMETHING THAT REALLY DONT NEED TO BE SAID, BUT IM SAYING IT ANYWAY. TO ALL THE YOUNGER CLUBBERS WHO GO THERE AND DONT KNOW THE ROPES OF CLUBS TOO MUCH, NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF A FIEND YOU MAY BE AND YOUR DYING TO GET A PILL, IF SOMEONE ASKS YOU IF YOU GOT OR YOU WANT, WHO GIVES A FUCK IF ITS SOMEONE YOU THINK IS YOUR FRIEND. Definitly something goin on i think. There was also a decent amount of ppl that i saw doin shit right out in the open.Saw some guy snortin by the stage near the end of the night, couldnt believe he would do it right there.Really hope that Avalon doesnt get shut down. They are bringing in really good dj's, and from the rocky start that place may have had and their door policy, it looks like that place is doing things the right way, its an enjoyable club, the people are off the hook, and the music has been just incredible.I have to say, Avalon has to be probably one of the most consistent clubs in NYC right now that you know your going to go there listen to good music, and the place is going to be packed night in and night out without any bullshit about DJ's leaving, this place closing, changing names, etc.....I guess we'll know because Im going this coming weekend, and if I see the same faces again, and they see me, and follow me again, then I know something is defeinately up. swtpapi4ugirl Posted February 17 Author Report Share Posted February 17 Dude, no offense, but if you couldnt tell that these people were pigs, then you must be from another planet or have some serious problems with your eyes and you need to get them checked out.When you see this one beared guy in there, dancing like he's never danced in life before, talking to other people who were walking around with little fanny packs and mini bookbags, and he was wearing a plaid shirt that he looks like he bought it from either an army/navy shop, or MODELLS....you tell me what you would think he was.Trust me, for all the people who dont know how to spot out and undercover, not to say that IM a pro by any means, but there were plenty of undercovers in Avalon Saturday, and IM sure there's plenty of people who will back me up on this one. The reason Crobar killed their afterhours parties is due to pressure from the local Community Board and the local PD. No one wants clubs in their neighborhood...how many times did the Community Board try to shut down Vinyl?The point is, yes, the cops are out there. Keep in mind they also have paid informants going to these places to hook up with people... get freindly ... and take em down......
