Space vs. Nerve

Look beyond size...

A club's square footage or how many rooms it's got doesn't mean anything. It's the atmosphere, the people and the music that make a club. It's a dj that has the keen ability to guide a crowd through a labyrinth of unknown tracks. It's not the dj that has a collection full of records that everyone has heard before. If you want that, stay home and listen to the radio for fuck's sake!!!

It's the variety, the vibe, the feeling, the similarities and the disparities that count...

Size of club does contribute to the atmosphere. Some DJs can play both megaclubs and small venues. Think of someone like Danny Howells. He can do both, but his sets are different. Some are either big room or small room DJs...

As far as diverse range of DJs? Technically Space. Space books trance, house, and progressive DJs. Nerve just has house DJs mainly. Nothing wrong with it, but if you want to get technical, Space wins out on that.

Trendier crowd? How the hell should I know? I ignore trends. I sometimes set them, but I ignore them.

Musically informed? Well it's Miami, so a lot of clubgoers don't have a clue, so I'd say in sheer numbers? Space. Percentage wise? Nerve.

Better bar service? I don't know really, since at Nerve I hit up Tom, and at Space I hit up Tom.
