John Kerry

Recommended Posts

Since so many of you on this board seem to lean towards voting for John Kerry and since he votes more liberal than Ted kennedy, i would like to know why you would vote for a known socialist.

Espcecially when this Great Country had become the strongtest and most prosperous in the world based on the principles of capitalism.

I wonder if you know what one is or if you just found it in the word of the day calendar.

Kerrry isnt a socialist, he just wants to penalize anyone who is successful (since he allready made.. oops I mean married his money it wont affect him) by taking their money and giving it as a handout. that just makes him a typical pandering democrate.

but hey... bush just wants to take our kids money and give it to everyone... hmmmm....

lifes a bitch, and then you have to vote for one.

I'm not a supporter of either Bush or Kerry...GOP or Dems

But John Kerry is not a socialist. Some politicians may promote a progressive taxation system, but in no way does that equate to socialism. I sense this might somehow be the idea behind your comment.

Please apprise us first of your notion of socialism, and I will do my best to disabuse you of it.

i know what it is moron. "progressive taxation system" come on man. he dosent want to penalize the wealthy. how can you penalize someone who is already rich that makes no sense.

he want to keep future genertations from accumlation wealth by taxing the crap out of us. Of course he wont be able to do it in such a short term as president, but if you keep voting for these types of politicans, they will erode our capitalist system piece by piece.

OK, so it becomes a bit clearer that you believe it has something to do with taxation. Your notion goes something like "a socialist system is when the central government takes like 80% of your income and uses it for vast social programs." Is that your understanding of what socialism is?

If so, you happen to be wrong.

bad example my friend. 80-85 percent of your money goes to the governement. what do you get in return healthcare which is even 5% as good as even the worst hospital in the USA. u have to wait 5-6 months for any surgical procedure if u can even get it. your education is free but when you graduate your make shit money cause it all goes to taxes.

but i guess if you have no ambition or r just plan lazy these are the systems for you.

and before you mention canada i have several friends who live there. if you make under 60000 you get taxed 35% of every dollar you make. over 60000 and its 50% of every dollar.

5-6 months to see a specialist. sometimes you have to drive 200+ miles to see a doctor. and most of the good Dr move to the usa.

I'll keep it simple

Probably the most distinctive trait of Socialism is state ownership and control of the fundamental means of production.

If you don't espouse this doctrine, you are not a socialist.

John Kerry does not adhere to this doctrine

Therefore, John Kerry is not a socialist

Yep, it's really that simple

Now, what I think you want to say about Kerry is that he advocates excessive taxation and massive social programs that they fund -- much like what they have in place in many European nations.

I know this to be inaccurate regarding Kerry......but notwithstanding your waywardness, the word "socialism" doesn't apply.......try "etatist," "tax-and-spend liberal," "big government leftist", but not socialist
