BILL PATRICK INFO

Being asked to hold a residency at your favorite club is a dream come true for any DJ. But when it's alongside two of the best in the world, Danny Tenaglia and Danny Howells, there are no words to describe the feeling. At 26 years old, Arc resident Bill Patrick has positioned himself as one of the most exciting newcomers to the scene...

Coming from a diverse musical background that included punk, hardcore, old school hip hop, new wave, and reggae, Bill's love for dance music began in 1998. He frequented the legendary club Twilo almost every Friday until its closing in 2001. In a short time he has played at some of the best clubs in New York, and in cities all across America and around the world. Never one to label good music, the best way to describe his sound would be to simply say: He spins quality dance music.

Music was always at the forefront for Bill while growing up. He music collection was all across the board from the likes of De La Soul, Eric B and Rakim, Journey, Erasure and Bell Biv Devoe to Quicksand, Faith No More, Joy Division and Prince. Yeah, there were a few questionable choices through the years but he was young and still developing an ear for good music. Take that extensive background and dedication along with a number of DJ influences and you are promised to get a creative and diverse range of music out of Bill's sets. "I try to incorporate many different sounds into a night. I get bored with one sound very easily and am always looking to incorporate something new, at the same time not taking myself too serious and making sure it's still about having fun."

Three years ago, Bill and his mates, Tom Amoroso, Dennis Rodgers, and Matt Licata formed the 112 Crew. It all began while spinning at after-hour parties from Twilo. Since then, the Crew's own brand of techno/house has caught on like wildfire, affording Bill the opportunity to turn out an amazing landscape of different sounds and moods ranging from the most minimal of house and techno, dub, electro, breaks and always a few other surprises, all brought together in one set. They recently landed a monthly residency at Arc, aptly named, "Get Some".

The Winter Music Conference has always been a great platform for Bill. In 2003 he had a bunch of impressive gigs including the sunrise set on the Terrace of Space following Marco Carola, Ultrafest 2003 and Sublime at Club Maze with the 112 Crew versus Casa Del Soul. This year, he and the 112 Crew will be showcasing their talent by bringing their "Get Some" party down to B.E.D..

On his own, Bill's passport is filling up quickly with international gigs from Mexico City, Costa Rica, Chile, Buenos Aires, and on to Spain, Italy, England, Finland, Norway, and Germany. A proud moment came in January 2003 in Argentina where Bill played once again for Camel Genuine Sounds under a massive tent in Mar Del Plata. He headlined this 3000 person event playing alongside living legend Ricardo Villalobos and Tobi Neumann. In April 2003, he headed over the pond for his first European tour. While making marks in cities throughout Norway, Finland and England, Bill not only came away with successful gigs but interest brewing from some of the most respected clubs in Europe.

One of the biggest highlights to date in Bill's short career happened this summer in Ibiza. He landed three dream gigs on the White Isle, including a main-floor slot at the legendary We Love...party at Space, and a fist pumping performance for Circo Loco at DC-10. That set grabbed a bunch of attention and afforded him a chance to play for Circo Loco in Rome and Rimini this past November.

Bill topped off 2003 and kick started 2004 with a New Years Eve set at the legendary techno club Tresor in Berlin. A dream come true, and a huge achievement for someone with only 5 years behind the decks! It's no wonder he has caught the eye of many world class DJ's such as Lee Burridge and Danny Howells who mentioned him as "The Best Undiscovered DJ" in DJ Mag's 2003 Top 100 issue.

Bill Patrick's love for the music and dedication to push the envelope while keeping things moving forward has been the driving forces behind his rapid success. In a very short time, he has managed to create quite a buzz for himself as one of the most exciting new DJ's to arrive on the international dance circuit.
