Miami, FL –– On March 6, a whopping 45,000+ fans descended on downtown Miami’s beautiful Bayfront Park to witness The “Ultra Music Festival†— the single greatest coming together of International dance talent in the world. Now, as a way to bring this experience to fans across the United States, The Ultra Music Festival has struck an unprecedented deal with K2 Communications (parent company of new independent music channel Havoc Television) and Cheetah Lounge Media Works to bring The Ultra Music Festival Experience†to Pay-Per-View systems across the nation.

The Ultra Music Festival Experience will premiere nationwide on high definition (HD) as well as standard definition pay per view on May 28, 2004, reaching some 55 million U.S. homes (74% of all U.S. cable subscribers and virtually all satellite subscribers) through In Demand, DIRECTV, Dish, Cablevision and TVN. The Ultra Music Festival Experience will be available for a 45-day pay per view window at $19.95. Making The Ultra Music Festival Experience truly an interactive event, digital cable subscribers with video on demand functionality through TVN and Cablevision will also have the ability to pause, play, fast-forward and rewind the presentation at will. A viewer can watch their favorite DJ set repeatedly and hear each amazing track as many times as they wish. It’s all about control.

Those who were in attendance live at The Ultra Music Festival went home with memories to last a lifetime. They will never forget the sight of Rabbit In The Moon’s audio and visual assault on the senses or truly epic DJ sets from Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk, Junkie XL’s amazing sunset performance proved that there is much more in his bag of tricks than his Elvis remix; the drum n’ bass headz went home happy with show stealing sets from legends like Craze, Photek and Adam F; and the Breakbeat Pavillion rocked out to the deck skills of rising superstar Baby Anne. These are just some of the DJs and live acts to be featured prominently on The Ultra Music Festival Experience PPV.

Stylistically, The Ultra Music Festival Experience will center on the concept of day turning to night. Running in chronological order, the day portion of the presentation will take the viewer on an exploration of the Ultra Music Festival grounds, Bayfront Park and UMF’s 12 massive music areas. The day potion will take on a documentary feel to educate the viewer on what the festival is about and its sheer magnitude on a global scale. Contrasting the day / documentary portion of the presentation, the night focuses on all the crazy things that happen at UMF when the sun goes down. Things pick up in intensity as the documentary vibe is replaced by a dizzying aural and visual presentation, all mixed in dynamic audio 5.1 Dolby and DTS Sound. The most talked-about Ultra performances from artists including Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Rabbit in the Moon, Junkie XL and Adam F are presented in a live concert feel as the video art from acclaimed visual artist Vello Virkhaus (VJV2) is inter-cut with the footage.

The Ultra Music Festival is historic in its own right for being America’s largest dance music festival. UMF exists only through the passion of both the artists and the fans that seek to push dance music to the same level of recognition in the U.S. as it has overseas. This PPV is the first ever for a dance music event, and for the first time in years, it brings our wonderful scene to a massive mainstream audience who will finally realize the major impact that dance music makes on American culture. “The Ultra Music Festival Experience allows us to show mainstream America that dance music is a big force in our country. Hip-Hop rose from the underground to dominate the music industry and we think dance music will meet this same fate - this PPV is an excellent start,†says UMF President and co-founder Alex Omes. UMF CEO and co-founder Russell Faibisch adds, “This is an amazing opportunity for dance music to be brought to the masses. It will give millions of people across the country a chance to experience this music at its highest level.†Rabbit In The Moon’s Bunny offers, “Ultra Music Festival is definitely an important ambassador to the masses, the message and movement of dance music. This is truly the last large dance music festival still thriving in North America, and it’s exciting for me to be a part of the Woodstock of our millennium.â€

At a rapid pace, UMF is connecting the dots that dance music has dropped all over the world. The dance music community is one nation under music and its America’s turn to step up.

The UMF website (www.ultramusicfestival.us) will be re-launched on Friday, April 30, and in the interim visitors to the site will be greeted to a pop-up containing information about The Ultra Music Festival Experience PPV. A 30 second Ultra Music Festival Experience e-commercial spot is available for viewing now on http://easylink.cheetahloungemediaw...0secdirectv.mov

“The Ultra Music Festival – see it, hear it, feel it…LIVE IT!â€

For those who do not wish to pay for this viewing and have digital cable

Found a solution..

http://www.digitalfiltering.com/

Just finished ordering it.. FUCK PAYING FOR PPV!!!

I have yet to see any of those digital cable things work, so....

What if that device doesn't work? Then you just lost $15...

If it does work, then job well done.

I'll go on the safe side and just order it. So far, I have 4 people willing to pay; $5 a piece is not a big deal if you ask me :)

i've watched the whole thing twice...it's a pretty decent set of "highlights"...

the Rabbit material is great...

the PVD spot is a big laugh...

he hits play on the Powerbook, and basically does nothing else (3 turntables w/o a single piece of vinyl on them)...watches the crowd...does Oaky's signature JC pose.... (weak!) blah blah...

and i retract (sorta') the earlier comment about PVD...

they show another spot of him spinning records, etc...

but i've seen him do quite a few less-than-amatuer things in the past.
