danceshake Posted February 11 Report Share Posted February 11 I was not in attendance at the fashionista party but here's a qoute from Junior's messageboard about Junior @ Pacha, Thursday night,2/9/06, Well, I was there for a couple of hours. It was upstairs on the 4th floor we were escorted from the front door into the elevator... taken up to the top floor and then escorted to the coat check and then on our own... My party didn't use the coat check, our coats went in the dj booth, Junior was in a good mood, meeting and greeting lots of folk and anyone that stopped by the booth to say hello. Jerome also. I only stayed about an hour or hour in a half from about 12:30am till 2am. There are a couple of lounges right on the dancefloor up there one right in front of the booth then an aisle/dancefloor then another set of couches and chairs makes up another lounge area in front of the bar in the back of the room directly across from the dj booth. So this little aisle way is what would appear to be the dancefloor and for the most part there were a few dozen people out there dancing most of the time I was there. Including myself. It was a very intimate affair, a private party for some company or organization that had a show earlier in the evening. There were large tv screens in the corners showing the show. I'm not as up on every mix as the rest of you are, but I can tell you he played his Hung Up mix. I think the party ended about 2am, thats when I left. Very low key, like DJing a company christmas party... Well thats what it seemed like to me... the ones I used to dj 10-15 years ago.... But it was cool that I knew someone who could get me in and that we went and checked it out... unfortunaltely i left my digital cam on the mantle at home and could only snap a few pics with my phone and it was dark so they dont really show much..On the train into nyc now before the storm.... and about to into the tunnel under the hudson river so I'll wrap this up and see everyone tonight. danceshake Posted February 11 Report Share Posted February 11 Rumor has it and this is a rumor that I found on Junior's board and has not been confirmed......Another intriguing if less perverse twist to this year's weekend line-up is a new SAL-affiliated event that picks up where Black Party(March 2006) leaves off with an all-day after-hours party helmed by the legendary Junior Vasquez at Pacha. To ensure a safe and successful transition between venues, SAL has even arranged for a shuttle bus -- appropriately anointed The Disorient Express -- to whisk all manner of patrons west to the 46th Street venue.SAL is The Saint At Large.Again this is a rumor, nothing is certain for now. Someone started a rumor on Peter's board that it is him and Offer Nissim--doesn't seem dark enough (I'm not worried about Peter pulling off dark and sexy, although its been easy to get used to Victor djing this party... oh well). It's organised by the Saint At Large group (from the old gay club The Saint). If you google all those keywords there's probably more details on all this.
