clubber4eva
First thing first. I dont hate no one. Now lets get to what I have to say. How the fuck can anyone vote for someone who throws down some of the worst fucking sets in the world. He has a train wreck every 30 min in his sets and he plays the same crap over and over and over again. He is not even in the top 50 of the u.s. best dj's. Most people can spin better than him after drinking a gallon of vodka. This just shows how UNEDUCATED people are in this country when it comes to edm. I would love to see jp spin in erope and see what kind of reception he gets over there. Honastly I think they would escort him of the stage after about 1.5 hours. Get real JP lovers the only thing you love about him is the drugs at his parties, not the music he spins cause if you were to hear that shit sober you would be 2nd guessing your votes now. Can't deny there is some truth to that as I witnessed this on several occasions. I wonder if the meth labs in mexico had more crank? could be close

housedog
WoW so much to say here, first off Hype LOVE the train wreck picture. Saved it for future uses. And really does an award voted on by "fans" really mean something? Isntyit a popularity contest? Yes it is great they win but for votes taken off the internet come on. An award like that would be well more respected and mean somethnig if maybe "only other American Dj's " voted for the person. If a dj sucks you wont find a promoter willing to waste time on a washed up dj. It doesnt look that way to me now.And this is the DUMBEST comment ever written on here. ALOT of DJ's dont deseved to get booked if it was judged on their talent alone. Promoters bring DJ's in, that bring paying customers thru the door. That is why we get the same DJ's OVER and OVER again. NO ONE EVER takes a chance of a no name with better talent than someone else who is more popular. U come on here like u are on JP's dick and have to defend him. Calm the fuck down it is a stupid Msg board.

mrhammer2u
Wow! So many of you that are dissing JP are missing the point. The man won the award because MORE people voted for him than anyone else. It was because MORE people LIKED him you idiots! If your bitching because not enough people voted for "your" favorite DJ, that's not JP's fault. And the biggest reason your a retard is because if you don't like his music that doesn't mean he is a bad DJ!!! I don't like Polka. But I dont go around saying Polka musicians suck! I just don't go to Polka clubs. So stop with the non-sense. You're an embarrassment to humans.I LIKE POTS AND PANSI LIKE THE HARD REPETITIVE BEATSSOMETIMES I LIKE TO GET BANGED UP AND SOMETIMES I DO NOTI DON'T MIND PAYING $50 TO HEAR WHAT I CAME FORI LIKE THE CLASSICS aka "OLD STUFF" as you haters like to call itI LOVE USA DJ'S. ESPECIALLY NYC DJ'SI DONT CARE THE CROWD HAS CHANGED. I'M THERE 4 THE MUSIC.I DONT CARE THE DJ AWARD WAS IN IBIZAI DON'T CARE JP IS NOT INTERNATIONALJP DOESN'T CARE THAT HE IS NOT INTERNATIONALcan't we all just be real???JP won #1 DJ. So what?! Feel free to voice your opinion, but stop saying that someone who is #1 is a "bad" DJ. That's just stupid! And another thing,....DT DT DT DT,...so what! He's a great DJ, but plays just like so many other great DJ's. Thank God for diverse DJ's like JP that have something different to offer. This is probably why JP is not "international" and so often criticized. Because he is not as commercial as all the top names mentioned in thread. And another thing!!!!! Speaking of commercial,...at least when you buy a JP CD, it's the music you expect to hear. I'm sick of buying Oakenfold, DT, Tiesto, Morillo, Rivera, etc. etc. CD's that have 2 or 3 good songs and the rest suck! Don't get me wrong, I like these DJ's..... Rivera is one of my top 3, but at least when I buy a JP CD I get my money's worth! I've heard all the above DJ's live,..... they sound MUCH better than the shit they put on CD for $20+. What's up with that?!I feel better....

MORE people didn't vote for him, the same amount of people voted for him just mutiple times. All they had to was make up a fake e-mail address in order to cast their vote.No in the DJ MAG voting process, you only get one shot to vote. rissaisabella
first off ...jp ---> not diverse...doesnt really change up the styles you want diverse hmmm not too many dj's doin it today last i heard a whole melting pot of music was dt at vinyl ( u heard deep u heard dark classics real classics, funk soul, tribal minimal tech u name u heard it)....secondly i love dt and miss him when he was comfortable at home but he his not like any other dj ...if you ever seen what he is actually doin up in that booth your jaw would drop ...looping 3 tracks layering them with an acapella taking time to do personal edits that no one has ...doing many many tricks with the cdjs and jam man etc and he knows how to program a nite of music this list goes on why do u think his love n passion for the music has inspired many many dj/producers in the world ...and hes considered the dj's dj

philippio
I don't know why you're all complaining. So he won... big deal. He's the kind of dj who plays for the masses. Let his heart be in the wrong place. Have you heard other djs who are so much better? Sure! So why worry about who other people voted for? All that matters in the end is who you like to listen to and who you want to support (whether he/she is on a top 100 dj chart or not). Depending on your character, you may think it's a very good or very bad thing that the dance music community is over-saturated with mediocre djs (why do 90% of them have to live in fucking Miami?). Let those clowns entertain the populace who leaves the party having heard not a single track they never heard before. While those djs play rubbish for clueless fucks, you can be sure those fucks won't be at the parties you choose to go to.
