There's still the cliche among people outside the tristate area that NY women are ugly, insensitive and rude. any comments from ny girls? Some people can't deal with the fact that most NY women are independent, outspoken and won't take any shit. What they don't seem to realize that it's tough enough living and working in the "man's world" so we have to work extra hard at a lot of things. Another thing is that we deal with a lot of bullshit with guys so yeah we might have attitudes and all but I'm sure there are reasons behind that. May get shot down for this but i think people in general from NY are much more like English people than anywhere else i have been un the states. I don't disagree with you there because I personally think that's really shallow. My point was to address the rudeness and being snotty. There are just as many rude, stuck up and ugly men in NYC as there are women. Sometimes I'm snotty but never rude - there's a difference. I'm only snotty when someone won't leave me alone after I tell them nicely that I'm not interested. Sometimes people just don't get the point therefore that's when being nasty comes in. Also I think that being a confident "person" is misunderstood and taken as being stuck up, arrogant or snotty. It was also as I was starting puberty, so the developing chests of my peers could have had an influence. The rest of my life before college I lived in the DC area. I'm not saying that all NYC girls are snotty, I think NYC girls are awsome, but there is more of an emphasis in NYC for a girl to be snotty and stuck in their own materialistic and cliquish world. I've lived in manhattan my entire life, and when I finally went overseas, man, what a difference!! To actually sit down and have a friendly chilled out conversation with a girl without her being concerned with what your wearing, how much you make, whats your status, who you know, etc. Theres a big difference in not taking any shit than there is in being a strong independent woman. You can still be independent and open minded.I find in extremely funny and in a way proof of my point that most of the replies from females on this board were towards the uglyness factor that people posted, for some of you to actually treat this as an issue is sad. Get real, OBVIOUSLY NYC has the most beautiful...sorry, wrong word choice, most PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE women on the planet, but I noticed none of you addressed the issue that NYC women are snotty and stuck up in an attempt to try and disprove it. Evan Posted July 13 Report Share Posted July 13 Since I live in NYC (Battery Park City) to be exact, and date my share of NYC women, I feel I can express a valid veiwpoint. Women who live here in the city, seem to be more independent, better dressed, and live more freely. This comes from living on their own, having thousands of shops at their fingertips, and being able to go anyplace at anytime. True, some NYC women are a little too independent for me, wanting only a 1 night stand so they could go back in the jungle the next day and get another taste of the city life, but on the most part I appreciate the fact that after a date with a Manhattan girl, I don't have to pay for a $30-50 cab ride back to her place in one of the boruoughs (I know I mispelled that and I'm just too lazy to look it up!).
