happykittn
In casinos, gambling with friends, or heck... even playing the stock market.Last summer, my boyfriend and I went to Vegas. Gambling makes me nervous, so he plays for both of us (yes, with *my* money). We won about $900 over the course of 8 hours... and then, during the last 30 minutes, lost $1800 at a blackjack table at the Bellagio (he has this AWFUL habit of doubling his bet every time he loses... "don't worry honey, we'll win it all back on the next hand!" grrrrr...). Anyone else have any other stories?------------------The purpose of life? To die young as late as possible. MixMag
I actually have a great story about this... I usually go to Foxwood about once every other month, and most of the time I play Blackjack...I tend to take out $300 first because thats the most I usually would like to lose..so the last few times I went there I would lose about $200 which is not too bad for me...then the last time I went, I decided to try something different, my friends starting playing craps which they told me was a fast pace game rolling the dice down the table, I try to learn from it but I didnt get the hang of the game. So I decided to try out this other game called Carribean Stud...this game is similar to Poker (you get 5 cards only) and you play against the dealer if you want...eventually I was skeptical at first but as I started playing a couple of hands I got so lucky w/ straight, three of kind, and several two pairs, and a full house (Beginners luck, u figure)...and I started winning ..to keep this short...by the end of the night, actually by morning, I had won about $1500 and this was just from cashing in $100 from the same table..It was a strange night too because this was the night in which nyc/ct received 8 inches of snow and we were stuck there till mid-afternoon..I was trying to book a room w/ all the points I received on my casino card but all the rooms were fulled...Hopefully next time I will be lucky again playing Carribean Stud.... blueangel
I'm not much of a gambling woman myself. Whenever I do go to Atlantic City I always and ONLY play may $40 on the slot machine. So I guess the most I've ever lost was $40.HOWEVER, once in AC I played the slots and hit 777. I won $475!!! They said that if I had put in two quarters instead of one then I would of won over $2000. bionic
I won about $800 in a "friendly" card game down at the NJ shore one weekend with 5 of my friends. By the end of the game, nobody was talking to one another. I went home 45 bucks in my pocket. The rest of the weekend (for my friends) was on me. Afterall, it was their money anyway....... vejita
I won $1100 playing blackjack in Vegas recently.... lost $400 at craps, tho. And then there was the time I won a 1988 Isuzu Rodeo at a raffle at Mt Snow, Vermont.... my parents bought the ticket, I picked the winner, and now I'm one less year in debt from college. -------------------=Vejita=-"Live through the week.
