I'll check out the book. How is it compared to the movie? Didn't the same author write "last exit to Brooklyn?"
duckets
Requiem was sick wasn't it! it was by far the most disturbing movie I have ever seen! I made a friend of mine get me the screener copy so now I own it, and i torture myself by watching it too much! I'm going to school for film directing and producing, and I talk about that movie all the time!I haven't seen Pie, I heard that was good! Requiem (the movie), is better than the book so far...I haven't finished reading it yet.And yes, i think Selby is the same author that wrote Last Exit to Brooklyn. ------------------ *...have the ability to let that which does not matter, truly slide.*-Ed Norton-Fight Club

tastyt
Well, I work in publishing so if you let me know what genres you prefer I can make many suggestions... Some personal faves:One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia-Marques... truly has to be one of the greatest books of all time...Moth Smoke by Mohsin Hamid... the downward spiral of a recently fired twenty-something, who falls in love with his slimy best friend's wife and starts selling drugs for a living... very well-written, intelligent, interesting...And I'm just now finishing this really good book "Class Dismissed" about Berkeley High School. It's all about how, although Berkely High is the most ethnically diverse hs in America, it's still completely segregated; and various problems the hs goes through. Good if you're into race/class issues (I was a sociology major so it's right up my alley!)------------------I never try anything, I just do it... Wanna try me?
