There is so much illegal shit going on in every club!Now for the drama filled part...who thinks that cops are wrong for being there and busting people!!?? Now I like to party as much as the next person but...if I get caught, I'm certainly not going to piss and moan about it! Drugs are illegal, underage drinking is illegal...cops are paid to enforce laws and bust people if they're doing something illegal. It just sounds so moronic to me when I hear people say "what right do they have to be there?" They're doing their job jackass!!All the cop bashing is immature. Now this is not a big debate on police brutality or any other issue. It's simply a convenient place to make a lot of easy drug arrests, much easier than going after people doing coke in the bathrooms of every bar in the city. Does this help anyone's drug problems? Of course I'll bitch and moan but I will KNOW that it's my own responsibility and every time I do something, I'm aware of the risks and know that there's always a chance of getting caught... Of course it sucks when YOU are the one getting caught when another 100000 ppl are doing the same thing but they can't catch everyone... Like Cathy said, they are doing their job at trying to stop ppl from using/selling drugs. So no surprise if they raid a club or search ppl.. That's their job, too keep you in line so you're a productive citizen, meanwhile consigning you to the most banal possible existence. Maybe I have a little authority problem, but I really dislike and distrust the cop mentality. They think they know what's good for everyone else, and have an utter lack of insight into the complex situations that drive people to do things. And there are different cops that look after murders, not just your average bobby on the beat. There called detectives.Besides 90% of it is political. Remember politicians set the priorities and as the MAJORITY of people in this world are against drugs what do you expect them to do? When the Majority of people want drugs to be legal and user to be left then politicians won't dare say anything against it or they wont get elected.So are you people seriously suggesting the democratic process is wrong?That said in the UK they put less onus on the user and more on the dealer (as I believe they do here). What I'm saying is, it's not up to them which behavior to let go and which to crack down on. They have a job to do and we shouldn't disrespect them for doing it.As far as the rapists and murder thing, there are cops and detectives that handle those areas too.
