I just got an e-mail at work about how everyone pitched in and gave money to help this lady blah blah blah.At the bottom there was a quote that said something to the effect of, "One of the most beautiful things about the human race is that it is impossible to help another without in-turn helping yourself".I think that's what you were both getting at! When we get old, frail and grey, we'll come to rely on the help of others. IT's not about being selfish... it's about doing on to others as you'd want done on to you.I love helping others. And usually they'll help me in return, so its all good. But sometimes when they aren't there for me or don't return the favor, i'll turn away. I don't think it's selfish. Selfishness is FOR the Self, Not directed at others.
