Does the way a girl/guy dress attract you more/less to them?

The way a person dresses affects your perception of them... yeah they're just clothes and can be changed, but they are the way a person chooses to present themself to the world so it does say something about them. It's kind of touch and go as far as first impressions go though- after all, everyone has off days.

With that said, I really look to the shoes- lol- since we have less shoes than clothes I think they tend to be more indicative of your style. So no guys in sandals please! :yuck:

Ewww...YES TASTYT....agreed! Just say no to Birkenstocks/"Air Jesus'". Sooooooo nasty! Who wants to see a guys hairy nasty pigeon toes????? Uggghhhh! Is there a such thing as man pedicures? LOL:laugh:

Anyway, it's wierd cause a bunch of us girlies at work were just talking about clothing and first impressions. I could remember nothing at all about any particular night, but I can always remember what someone was wearing at any given event. Maybe it's because I work in fashion, and just have an eye for all kinds of details....but I think it has more to do with what Tasty said about self presentation.

~As for what I look for....I just look at the whole picture....in my mind, if every detail of the persons ensemble (right down to hair, makeup, socks, etc) mesh's well, then that person has got it together....;)

I am ten times more attracted to a guy who has style. A guy who knows how to dress is way more sexy than your average joe schmoe. Just watch out for label whores, wearing a designer name across your chest dosent automatically give you style. Shoes are very important too, guys and girls, so throw away that beat up pair from last season!!!

I don't think it's about if you dress nice. I think it's about if you look good in what you dress in. Like I could see a girl in warm ups and a tank top and with there hair in a pony tail and I think they could look bangin. Ofcourse the girl has to look like she takes care of herself also.

Well... no... not really. It's more about how attractive you are in figure and face. You can have your own style and still look unattractive. However, girls (and guys I guess) that workout or are naturally beautiful/handsome can make even fashion faux paus look good.

My point was that a person's style reflects their personality... I've seen plenty of men who were attractive, body and face-wise, who I was not attracted to because of the way they dressed... ie I would not be attracted to a guy all guido-ed out... Whereas I might be attracted to somone else, not as pretty in face or body, who's style I found intriguing... because he would seem on first impression like someone with a more interesting personality.

So, whatever happened to being attracted to a person's confidence? I think whoever, male or female, if they're confident in their appearance and in their self, is going to be most attractive.

Except, those jeans that hang down below the butt crack definitely need to go.
