  1. They stopped making it because it was too expensive to manufacture...there was no way to make that car for less $$$ and the demographic for this vehicle got sidetracked by other vehicles. wrong again, they still made the supra but didn't sell it in the US... so...what's your point? I live here in North America and discuss the reasons here...not Japan. don't waste your time w/ this domestic diehard clueless fanatic... attn: nosaleen.... 06 4.6 stock bottom end will handle no more than 450hp, and that's already pushing it...maybe the engine/tranny will last if you're lucky and have a real good tuner(meaning $$$) deff not the rear end when someone puts slicks on those things, this is with a turbo or supercharger. the 06 4.6's do not make as much power as the previous mustang 4.6's due to the changes in the piston design, and the rings lands being so close to the combustion chamber for improved fuel economy, but at the same time makes it more prone to breakage under detonation. this taken from mustangmonthly.com "a stock '05-'06 GT with five-speed manual transmission makes 273 rear-wheel horsepower." "In this comparison of an '05 three-valve piston (left) and the previous two-valve piston, you can see the top ring land has moved up, which makes it more prone to breakage under detonation." it is crazy to think that just that little bit if differance in the rings could cause that much of a problem for modders.
  2. yea most hotels will apply that rule, during spring break the northern kids that come down always tend to bring their bottles down to the pool area...till they get caught by the "hotel pool police".
  3. that is dope! nice chilled tracks too
  4. By GREG SMALL, Associated Press Writer 16 minutes ago HONOLULU - A strong earthquake shook Hawaii early Sunday, causing a landslide that blocked a major highway on Hawaii Island and knocking out power across the state, authorities said. ADVERTISEMENT The state Civil Defense had unconfirmed reports of injuries, but communication problems prevented more definite reports. People were also trapped in elevators in Oahu, authorities said. Gov. Linda Lingle said in a radio interview with KSSK from Hawaii Island that she had no report of any fatalities. She said boulders fell on highways, rock walls collapsed and television had been knocked off stands. "We were rocking and rolling," said Anne LaVasseur, who was on the second floor of a two-story, wood-framed house on the east side of the Big Island when the temblor struck. "I was pretty scared. We were swaying back and forth, like King Kong's pushing your house back and forth." The quake hit at 7:07 a.m. local time, 10 miles north-northwest of Kailua Kona, a town on the west coast of the Big Island, said Don Blakeman, a geophysicist at the National Earthquake Information Center, part of the U.S. Geological Survey. The Pacific Tsunami Center reported a preliminary magnitude of 6.5, while the U.S. Geological Survey gave a preliminary magnitude of 6.6. It was followed by several strong aftershocks, including one measuring a magnitude of 5.8, the Geological Survey said. Blakeman said there was no risk of a Pacific-wide tsunami, but a possibility of significant wave activity in Hawaii. On Hawaii Island, also known as the Big Island, there was some damage in Kailua-Kona and landslide along a major highway, said Gerard Fryer, a geophysicist at the Pacific Tsunami Center. Officials were concerned there may be "structural integrity" problems at the big hospital in Kona in the Big Island, Lingle said. Rod Haraga, director of the state Transportation Department, told radio station KSSK the hospital was being evacuated. Betsy Garties, who lives in North Kohala, on the northern tip of Hawaii Island said she was lying in bed with one of her two young children when the quake struck. "First I heard a rumbling. Then the house started to shake. Then broken glass," Garties said. She first stood under a door frame as safety experts advise, then found that too wobbly for comfort and ran into the yard. "It was strong enough that it was wobbling, so you almost lost your balance running out into the yard," Garties said. "The house was visibly rocking." Peggy Cardoza, an assistant manager at a fast food restaurant in Hilo, said she was at work when the earthquake struck. "We just felt the ground shaking," Cardoza said. "We just stood here and watched everything shake." Power at least partially knocked out on every island, said Civil Defense spokesman Lani Goldman. On Oahu, 95 percent of customers were without power, he said. Authorities said some of the power outages may have been due to heavy rainfall. Airports were functioning despite the power outages, though slowly. Heraga said that inbound flights were being allowed to land, but outgoing flights were not taking off because the TSA doesn't have enough power to screen passengers. Resorts in Kona were being asked to keep people close to hotels, Big Island Mayor Harry Kim told television station KITV. Cruise ships were asked to keep tourists on board, and ships that were due to dock with tourists were asked to move on to their next location, he said. "We are dealing with a lot of scared people," he said. Dan Fields, editor of The Sanford (N.C.) Herald, was on his honeymoon at the Hilton Waikoloa Village resort when the earthquake struck. He said there were some cracks visible on the resort's buildings, but the damage appeared to be superficial. "There are piles of shoes and luggage on the floor shops, and in the coffee shop there is ground coffee all over the floor," said Fields. "Tiles have fallen off the roof, things like that. Structurally it seems to be fine."

  8. a side note - mac or PC you should be opening your case once a month to clean the dust out...trust me even in a clean room your PC will get some dust in it - even with the 'dust proof cases' you still get dust, it's inevitable what should be used to clean the inside? duster - and if you've never cleaned it i would take it to an open room, you're going to create a dust-storm thanks adam. i got a sony vaio and live in a house w/ 4 cats and roommates who don't even know what a duster is so it WILL be bad i'm sure. just dont inhale it
  9. Which commercial?? the 1st one u posted The mac one or the Jay-Z one? mac
  10. I was listening to 93 rock last week about this event and i was in shock! when i heard it...unfortunatelly i didnt plan for it and i missed out! I still have that cd that Rooster came on ages ago! good stuff
  11. i must say i dont usually go to deep house events, i have nothing against them...i just never been to one, however ive listened to roland in early sat mornings @ nocturnal...not sure what type of deep house that is but its really nice, funky, mellow, for me its a great way to start off the night. i've also listened to some other dj's spin deep house some in this board, some not, and i give them full props to what they do, wish i could come out to their events more often, always nice to do something different in my book. 8)
  12. how about some bossa nova dnb like dj marky & patife style...?
  13. when u receive it and have played around w/ it - let me know what u think of it vs. your pc laptop...im soon to be in the market for a new computer n deciding on either one
  14. im gonna send you to go do some research go look for the 1993 issue of Road & Track magazine that pitted the brand new Supra twin turbo vs. the porsche 993 gen 911 turbo vs. the ferrari 512TR(which by the way are FAR superior than any domestic), and the supra outhandled both, just to let you know what kind of car the Supra is...and no saleen in the comparison? ??? the 90-93's that you speak of in that price range are all modified first of. the supra's(93-98) that we speak of are all above 25-30k... i like to see how much your nosaleen rustang is worth 13 years from now...
  15. They did, but a 95 that sold new for $40-$45K is still worth $25-$35K today. T that's right and stock! - a modified one will go for alot more.
  16. they were tired of beating all the nosaleen mustangs... The truth is, they were great cars when they ran, they were notorious for breaking down. Way too complex. My brother had a Starion, great jap sports car, but the dealerships couldn't even fix it due to 54828439 miles of vacum tubes under the hood. mitsubishi and toyotas shouldn't be put in the same sentence. mitsubishi is one of the very few unreliable japanese makes w/ the exception of the new EVO(and that's because it was built in Japan)...not some lazy american like nosaleen.
  17. they were tired of beating all the nosaleen mustangs...
  18. in the world of racing where domestic don't run the show, racing engineers that don't depend on displacement have chosen an engine that speaks for itself... 3.4 - Inline 6 1400rwhp+ 1000ft/lbs+ Torque No NOS Best 1/4 8.62@171.28mph Best Mph 171.28mph Best 60ft 1.38 3.4L Equipped! 3550lbs at the Scales full interior... good looking car on the streets as well muscle cars will do that kind of power, however there are no V6's domestic muscle cars like this, only 10 liters talking about how much an engine block can take
  19. Which commercial?? the 1st one u posted
  20. Get inside a late model Lexus, Infiniti or Acura before talking. They are just as refined as their euro counterparts. They just feel different, and it comes down to cultural differences. acura=shit same goes for infiniti Lexus/Toyota SUV's only ex. Land Cruiser, Prado, LX, GX...lexus cars are OK, but not my thing....i'd rather spend the money on a BMW or Audi....and let's not get started in the makes/models they don't sell in the US cause if i had those options i'd never even think about buying a jap. a buddy of mines bought an FX(infiniti) and it is nothing next to my touareg and he paid more than i did... Tourag = Dressed Down Cayenne ;D
