My style is very similar to DT's and I will throw in quite a few big DT tracks to keep the vibe there (AC...DC.. Dont want to ruin it too much!). Antranig will most likely serve up a dose of hard tech house and similar DT style tunes and btw, he's been working with DT on many current production projects, so watch out for him! Voice, more people than you think know who you are here...and I must say 'you' is one of my favorite tracks dt plays, but you dont have the right to tell all these people they know nothing and you everything. Many of us know "what djs are capable of" and me and many others, being huge dt fans (and dj's) know what that capability is. Does danny have off nights? Of course, we all do, but there is a difference between having an off night and and having different motives. Some people are in this business to make money, pure and simple. If a DJ like skribbles or whomever, wants to use dj'ing and producing as a vehicle to get rich...more power to them. But to get respect from the underground community who live 'for the music'...its not going to happen. Why would I respect someone who is still playing 'the tamperer' or zombie nation just to make sure their foot gets back in the door the next week.. I work hard constantly to find those obscure records and rare finds just for that rare opportunity (like I will have this friday at vinyl) to show people what the music is about from my point of view and to show them what I feel a dance experience should be. Even though many people here are not DJ's or in the business... but "pencilpusher"... I must say, I am by day, because until my dream of supporting myself as a DJ comes true, I have to put food on the table somehow. Anyway, I think this board needs less drama and this topic is one that I feel shouldnt be 'moderated' by anyone, whether they are 'in the business' or not. Eveyone has the right to speak out on who they like and dont like, no matter who they are. Sorry girls on this one...but I must say girls are the nastiest... I DJ'd at this bar up at penn state, The Lion's Den... I remember at the end of the night what the bathrooms looked like.. They always gave the new guys the "girls bathroom duty".. NASTY! Tampons everywhere, bloody toilet paper bunches on the floor...toilet..sink.. They pulled one girl out of there who couldnt hold it and was peeing in the sink!! Guys are nasty too, but girls...eek!!! No he doesnt seem to want 70's and 80's cheeze like that polyester place plays..he wants disco...dance music... The paradise garage sounds like a thing of his past.. You must check out vinyl... Saturday and Sunday are really soulful early house, paradise garage type days. Fridays are with Danny Tenaglia who learned a lot from the master himself, Larry Levan, and really keeps the spirit alive today with a more modern euro influenced sound. However, Danny plays terrific classics the end of the night usually on Fridays.
