  1. Umm... your wrong. NOT EVERY DJ in nyc is on drugs when they play. Some DJ's actually take their jobs seriously and remain sober while they're playing. To honestly make a statement like that just shows how naieve you are about the whole scene.
  2. sobe crobar... your posts are annoying... but i applaud your willingness to speak what you believe. i would just like to add that exit/black as a club sucks... i liked it much better when it was called carbon.
  3. excellent post! you are so true... and to answer the one above that... the reason people post on here to complain about him and his parties is because these drug addicts who go to his parties are RUINGING THE ENTIRE NYC NIGHTCLUB INDUSTRY!!! Because they're OD'ing, theyre drawing the city into action and once the city starts closing clubs, theyre gonna start cracking down on all of them. so maybe you dont care cause you dont listen to jp or go to exit or sf, but when your favorite club has cops in it and is under the watchfull eye of bloomberg adn his fun police, maybe you ll realize why were complaining about Jps stupid fans...
  4. doesn't anyone think JP could have said something to his crowd when he saw it starting to get out of control with the drugs? he must know these kids live and breathe by him... im sure he could have influenced them to chill a little with the drugs so that the parties he plays dont always get shut down.... but in my opinion i dont think he gives a fuck about his fans... if youve ever met him in person, and i have on several occasions, hes a true asshole. so im not suprised that he didnt try to put a stop to it sooner.
  5. i agree whitewidow. Jp is a crackhead and now his music suffers as well as his crowd. anyone who can honestly say they like JP now, obviously never heard him 5 or 6 ears ago when he was at his peak at SF. the man was AMAZING! he WAS my fav. dj... but now hes just another junkie like the ones that go to do drugs and listen to him. end of story.
  6. Blaming JP would not hold up in court, because of all the legalalitites, however, just from a moral view of the whole situation, I can see how it is more Jonathan's fault then Richard's. Richard Grant is such a nice old man. Although he may have allowed drug use and sale within the club, he was always the reason SF had that "Family" vibe. He was the one who supplied all the "love" for the club... if I can refer back to one of the old flyer/posters with a pic of a waterfountain and it said "Not Money Driven, Party Driven" Richard always made SF a family atmosphere where everyone would talk to each other, make friends, and being there every saturday you did end up knowing everyone. Jonathan, although outwardly portraying that he 'loved' and cared about all his fans, he really is just an asshole.
  7. Im not here to argue with you, Im merely representing a different perspective. I think I remember something about cult leaders can be held responsible for the actions/deaths of their follwers...
  8. blame JP...are u nutz? i would refer you to this post: well for starters... dont you think he's partly responsible for the deaths of the kids that die from OD's at his parties? not to mention responsible for corrupting a whole generation of kids who now glorify drugs more then music and simultaniously ruin the scene and the nyc nightlife for the rest of us? if you say, how is HE responsible for other people abusing drugs? well look at it this way... when JP was playing great music every nite, high energy stuff back in 98-99... everyone was doing X and feeling great, and the dancefloor was always packed, in fact I don't ever remember sitting down... and then as he started getting more into K, it was reflected in his music - he started playing fuct up beats. doesnt anyone remember the my love is your love days when he would take apart the song and then put it back together? sure it sounded cool but you cant dance to that sh*t - but its good to sit and do bumps to... then as JP got more heavily into drugs so did his crowd, he started playing marathon sets that would go for longer then 24 hours... this prompted kids to do more drugs to keep them up longer so they can last through his whole set.. even on the Mtv true life.. that kid said it best "its just not the same if you leave early" JP created this drug scene, and as I see it he is completely responsible for creating a party where drugs take precedence over the music, and people come more to get fuct up then to dance and have a good time. It is so obvious that the music is secondary when it comes to jonathan peters... otherwise he would be playing better music then 'going thru it' for 2 hours and 'i just died in your arms tonite' one more time. i swear, the last time i heard Jp was at halloween 2003 at sf.. and he played the same songs then that he played in august 2003, which are the same songs he's playing now at black... a dj should be more concerned with his song selection instead of where his next bag of crystal meth is comming from.... he is the one who has glorified the drugs at his parties... he is the one who has turned all these kids into OD'ing slobs... so why should the building or the club owner be held responsible?? and then I would also mention that Richard can easily say that he was doing all he could to prevent drugs from being brought into the club, and to further back up his case, he could blame this all on JP and even say... look at all his other parties, wherever he goes, the same problems happen. its not the club, it himand the crowd that he draws... same thing happened at shelbourne in miami, was that shelbournes fault? same thing happened at black... its all jonathan.. i think richard show play up that angle and blame JP for this whole mess he's in.
  9. I say blame JP not richard... it's all his fault anyway.. lock up JP and it will benefit the nighclub industry in new york greatly.. not to mention give thousands of drugged up kids a reason to stay OUT of clubs and prevent them ruining mor eof them.
  10. hey nice neitzsche quote... i thought i was the only one who knew that one
  11. Isn't locking up JP a little harsh- what exactly is it that he has done that he should be locked up? well for starters... dont you think he's partly responsible for the deaths of the kids that die from OD's at his parties? not to mention responsible for corrupting a whole generation of kids who now glorify drugs more then music and simultaniously ruin the scene and the nyc nightlife for the rest of us? if you say, how is HE responsible for other people abusing drugs? well look at it this way... when JP was playing great music every nite, high energy stuff back in 98-99... everyone was doing X and feeling great, and the dancefloor was always packed, in fact I don't ever remember sitting down... and then as he started getting more into K, it was reflected in his music - he started playing fuct up beats. doesnt anyone remember the my love is your love days when he would take apart the song and then put it back together? sure it sounded cool but you cant dance to that sh*t - but its good to sit and do bumps to... then as JP got more heavily into drugs so did his crowd, he started playing marathon sets that would go for longer then 24 hours... this prompted kids to do more drugs to keep them up longer so they can last through his whole set.. even on the Mtv true life.. that kid said it best "its just not the same if you leave early" JP created this drug scene, and as I see it he is completely responsible for creating a party where drugs take precedence over the music, and people come more to get fuct up then to dance and have a good time. 12. Do any other New Yorkers find it completely assinine the way Miami clubs handle their door admittance? I mean I know they love the drama, and making people wait outside to look like its full when really theres hardly anyone inside... but its totally ridiculous. Ive been going to WMC for the past 5 or 6 years now, and every time, at most of the clubs, they just make you stand around and either don't let anyone in, or you have to be picked out of the crowd by raising your hand? I find that completly absurd... at least in new york if you wait on a line your bound to get in eventually... but in miami you wait on lines that go no where, or worse yet, crowd around the front and just stand there for 'what seems like' ever. This was soo bad at mansion (level) this year, I called ahead to be on the guestlist and they told me it would be 20$. But when I got there, there was no guestlist line, just a crowd of people raising their hands... and when I did get in suddenly it was now $40... WTF? I hate that about Miami clubs... at least NYC is neat and organized, with (suprisingly) less drama.
  13. i would go just to see the drama.... but i dont want to give jonathan my $30 or $50 or $60 or whatever they decide to charge.... ill just read about it in the papers on monday (lol)
  14. like there hasn't been a million already... what's one more? "In regards to the past few incidents of Sound Factory being raided and closed last weekend, and the four overdoses at Black this past weekend: If you want to find the answer to why all these kids are overdosing at nightclubs, you need look no further then the DJ who is playing the party. A crowd is a reflection of the DJ, and the one person both Sound Factory and Black (Exit) have in common is DJ Jonathan Peters. Coincidence? I think not. Peters is notorious for his heavily drugged crowd and you can tell wherever he is playing by the presence of both cops and ambulances waiting outside. The same problems happened when he played in Miami for the Winter Music Conference on March 7th, and it has happened again at Black this past Saturday. Wherever he goes, you are sure to find a crowd of drugged up kids, rampant drug abuse, and overdoses. Please don't consider all nightclubs to be as bad as Jonathan Peters makes them to be - the problem isn't the actual building, it's the crowd that he brings to it." My advice: PLAY MUSIC THAT MAKES PEOPLE DANCE!!! It's JP's K'd out beats, fillers, and 30 minute songs we've all heard a billion times, that are making people do drugs!!! What else is there to do but get fuct up, sit, and listen? He should be playing upbeat music that keeps the crowd on the dancefloor and away from the corners sprawled out on the floor close to death.....
  15. I PM'd you About this... I wanna know about that NY times article you mentioned in another post... about JP and his drug habit... If you know the article date> or link, please post or PM me.. thanks!!
  16. Just from a third party perspective.... your bickering is completly retarded... No one else on this board feels the need to mention that they don't wait on line, don't pay to get in, hang out in the dj booth, etc... Show some respect to the scene, and the people you share it with. A person who is really a great as they say they are should be above replying to every post that bashes them...
  17. Is that post supposed to be written by Jonathan? Because it's obviously not from him... he doesn't give a f*ck about his fans, whether they live or die... as long as they pay to get in. And he doesn't care about the scene either, as long as his pockets are full... thats clear from the way he has destroyed it.. or is it just a coincindence that everything he touches gets shut down? Oh Yea.. and everyone go to Black this saturday, and do as many drugs as possible! Ill be waiting to see your lifeless bodies being carried out on the news Sunday morning!
  18. Glad to know that Jonathan Peters Entertainment has a vested responsibility to Black... Now I can't wait till more idiots OD there and it gets shut down! Then maybe they'll finally get it right and lock up JP, and leave the clubs alone...
  19. montebrogan... great post. i totally agree... where did all the good looking people go? i remember big fridays at roxy and youre more then right.. everyone used to dress up back then. everyone wanted to look good, and have a clean image, meet other people, attract other people etc.. it seems like now these people are ONLY going out to get fuct up and don't care how they look or how they will appear to everyone else... i dont know if the genereation that you and i partied with were just more responsible, more intelligent, or whatever... but no one back then would ever want to look as fuct up as these kids look today... i mean, going out was all about feeling good about yourself, dressing up, showing yourself off, and having a good time... no one back then would want anyone to see them huddled in a corner having convulsions or puking in a trash can slumped on the floor... you just dont want everyone to look at you like that... now it seems like, the focus is only on the drugs adn people dont give a fuck whaat kind of mess their in or how they look to other people... god knows i would be ashamed to be such a mess like that, and i certainly wouldnt want everyone to see me like that... i too am ashamed and disgusted by this new wave of club goers... im just hoping that the scene can get cleaned up and maybe there will be a re-birth comming soon...
  20. check this out... maybe some of you overdosing fools will learn something... http://www.projectghb.org/while_sleeping/sld001.htm
  21. found this one.. see link http://www.nydailynews.com/news/story/171768p-149851c.html
  22. it said in the newest indictment that the "dj kept an open bag of drystal meth for personal use in open sight" obviously it was jonathan... for a while SF wasnt even open on fridays.. anyone who has any doubts that jonathan does NOT abuse drugs better check thier sources.... I know for a fact that he does alot of crystal. i used to be in the booth when he was doing massive amounts of K. one of my friends even dated him for a few months and besides seeing him use first hand, their should be no doubts at all that jp is a complete crackhead... you reap what you sow, and hes created a cult of crystal junkies and g-morons who will continue to kill themselves and follow him to no end...
  23. heres a link to the SF raid last week... http://www.ny1.com/ny/TopStories/SubTopic/index.html?topicintid=1&subtopicintid=1&contentintid=37921 havent seen anything on the exit bust though, if anyone does please post.. im waiting for the 6pm news to start...
