TRONIC TREATMENT vs. LONG NIGHT OUT @ LEVEL - Wed 3/19

All I can say is WoW. Everyone should hit this up -
The show will go on: City, promoter agree By CAROLYN SALAZAR csalazar@herald.com A day after wanting the plug pulled on a popular downtown concert, Miami Mayor Manny Diaz said Monday he was satisfied that promoters agreed to beef up security and ban the sale of pacifiers and lollipops at the 14-hour festival. Promoters of the Ultra Electronic Music festival, scheduled for March 22 at Bayfront Park, agreed to pay to double police presence and install double fences after the mayor expressed concerns about reports of rampant drug use at last year's concert. Promoters also said they would ban the sale of paraphernalia popular among Ecstasy users, such as baby pacifiers, lollipops and Popsicles that supposedly enhance the drug experience. The conflict began over the weekend after Diaz sent out a news release saying he would ask the board of Bayfront Park Management Trust not to issue a license to the festival. It was the first time the mayor spoke so publicly against an issue. But at Monday's board meeting, promoters said they would take measures to reduce drug use at the daylong music festival, which drew nearly 30,000 fans last year. Diaz, who also attended the meeting, said he was happy promoters agreed to the added safety measures and said he would not try to cancel the popular concert. ''This is all about children and minors,'' he said after the meeting. DOUBLE SECURITY During the meeting, promoters agreed to double the number of undercover officers from 38 to 70, and uniformed officers from 50 to 100. In addition to banning backpacks, promoters will double the fencing around the park. Detectives testified that at last year's show people who couldn't smuggle drugs into the park during the concert would toss the substances over the fence. Russell Faibisch, co-founder and chief executive of the music festival, said it would cost promoters more than $100,000 to comply with the added safety measures -- but they would to do so at the city's request. He said promoters had not taken the added safety steps before because the city never asked them to do so. ''We do expect to lose money on this,'' he said.

housedog replied to fierydesire's topic in New York / New Jersey
I will be there probably going in around 2. Rashena we will meet up, I will have the (L) and I got you on the list. I havent been there since classic night in Nov. so I am do. The crowd has been bad since twilo closed. Each time I go I see shit I can't believe, people really have no morals. I guess with exit closed, it is going to be alot worse. But on a good note SF is open, so I hope (fingers crossed) it takes some of the crowd away. I am still perpared for it, but Danny will take all that shit away, I cant wait -
I think it is march 30th. I dont smoke I dont care, Just another way for us to be controled

Is't the club in San Diego? -
If you could get on Danny's list it is cheaper. Usually $17 sometimes $15 (if I 'm lucky) or if you are really lucky (NEVER) you are comped. But $20 on Rob's list is not bad.

Is anyone really ever happy with their job?
housedog replied to clubkat's topic in New York / New Jersey
I f'in hate my job. It sucks, you want to know what I do all day? I print UPC labels. All shapes and sizes, I cut down the rolls in the quanity the customer wants. I can print 1 label I also can print one milloin labels. Boring as shit. I am the youngest there @ 32 y/o. I also can smoke at my job, it makes it somewhat better ( I don't do it everday) but not by much. ANY job you can smoke at, In my opinion it is time to get a new job. -
That makes it sound better. I am a huge Danny fan. N ow the only other thing that would get me to go is if they let me have the be yourself dress code. Tell me how you dance dressed up? I love it when I see girls in high heels at a club. This is no fashion show. "People standing on the wall were show you to the from door, cause if you HAVENT DANCE YET WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU COME FOR." Twin Hype "For those who like to Groove"

Again you cant spell for shit. I havent been to webster hall since 1996. SUcked then when the clubs were really good. How good can it be now when the clubs are eh? If mine looks messed up is because

i always want to go but for some reason I don't. I want to hear breaks, I thought someone said he was going to play 4 hrs of breaks. Oh well I will make it there at least once to hear him. Your reviews make me want to go. The only thing that sucks is every time I go to vinyl (arc) on a Sat. I am let down by the music. I always think that it will be good, and in the end it just sucks. The last time I went on a Sat was for Juan Aktins and Heather Heart and it was ok but not OMG this is insane. I am hoping Danny can change that for me.

You can't spell for shit. Or you got to proof read before you post.
