  1. Anyone heading down tonight for some drinks? Rob James and Rik Santiago will be dishing out the beats again.
  2. No, I think Chris the Greek is "Chris Panaghi."
  3. I don't think she said she was "cheerleading." Basketball teams often have pre-game dancers that hardly fit the bill of cheerleaders.
  4. Party looks like it will be great. Unfortunately, I'm heading down to Atlanta on the 20th to spend a few days with my cousin, and listen to nothing but Lil John and Ludacris.
  5. Hell yeah. I loved walking into that store not too long ago, around 97 / 98, when New York house music was really popular, and many local djs/producers were getting signed and putting out good shit (right before downloading killed everything). All kinds of local talents would come through that spot on any given day and just juggle some tracks on the setup they had in there. Probably the one spot where I really enjoyed diggin, especially on a friday night in the summer. Tiny place, but really good selection. They put some wicked shit out on their own labels.
  6. I've been having an easier time falling asleep during the day than I do at night.
  7. Really? I've heard him on many occasions over the past 6 or 7 years, and his live sets have always stayed true to deep tribal roots (more or less).
  8. Ritchie Santana. He plays some dirty fuckin tribal when he's in the mood. When Junior's in the mood, he drops some wicked tribal that makes you want to start hopping all over the damn place. And, as someone stated previously, That Kid Chris. His tribal sets are consistently crazy.
  9. L'Ectrique (netmusique.com) always plays some good shit.
  10. Wuddup Cracka... I was beginning to think you were M.I.A.!! Hit me up sometime soon. We need to talk.
  11. Maybe the writers were running out of novel ideas. Overall, the show is pretty funny, but some of the more recent sketches have been lacking.
  12. Yeh, the place was nuts. I don't remember what the actual building was used for. I always thought it was some type of old country club or house. They used to hold the parties in the basement, and they'd pack hundreds of people in there. All of the post CPI crowd used to pack in there around 5 am, and the party would go strong well into the mid afternoon hours.
  13. Dj Rob James at Freedom afterhours during the summer of 1997 or 98. The only real venue on Long Island at that time that was letting 16 and 17 year olds in with no id check or pat down. The shit that went on in that place was indescribable. Some of the best times of my life (so far).
  14. What's going on, Matt. Party will definitely be nice tonight. I won't make it out tonight, because I have a long-ass final tomorrow, but let me know how it goes. Good times this past Friday!
  15. I liked Boris a lot when he spun mostly progressive house, before he changed his sound up to harder, non-progressive beats. Saturdays at Exit were pretty fun when he had the mainfloor. It was actually a great alternative to the mega clubs that were open at the time. No one really cared for him back then, however, and the party didn't really last that long. He also did some pretty phat parties at CPI a few years ago, when the club used to bring him in to do the end-of-the-summer labor day weekend parties. Overall, I'm actually surprised to see how drastically his popularity has increased as of lately, considering how much he's been ignored over the years. I guess it takes the right promotion and the right party. Then again, he's always been a hard-working dj who will spin at almost any venue.
  16. No. That's not exactly a kind thing to do. As long as mahalomenehune doesn't say anything impolite to me, we can co-exist. Also, easy targets don't make for much fun anyway.
  17. Click on "User CP" at the top, then, to the left, click on "Edit Profile." Then, go down to "Custom User Title," and change it. I'm not sure whether one has to have a specific amount of posts to be able to change the user title, but you may not have a problem, since you already have a considerable amount of posts under your belt, especially for someone who joined earlier this month. Damn, how the hell did you manage to post so much? You almost have as many posts as me, and I've been posting here for almost 6 years.
  18. Headsucker? Barbecue? Wrong individual.
