my fav shadow lounge moment was one night when sasha was playing, some door guy was giving me and some friends some serious grief about the guestlist... so he eventually let a couple of us in and we got sasha to come tell the door guy to let us in. fucking classic. you should have seen the guys face, he was major fumed. :laugh:

i hope it's true too! noticed a few questionable things on the balance lineup popups. seems to be 2 different ones w/ 2 slightly different lineups... i see terry francis on one of them and i know for a fact that he's gonna be in oz during that time. unless he's pulling a major flight schedule.....

last year lola had the best conference lineup. hope it's more of the same IE: bedrock and a small GU party. the bedrock party was the party of the year last year.

fake or not, thats the perfect size landing strip. i hate these bald ones or even worse the skinny mohawk look. give me some bush (not all chia pet though)

if the guest dj's are good and there is no bullshit on the door, i don't care what kind of system is in there. as long as night in/night out, they hire a sound engineer that knows what he/she is doing. problem is so many venues here hire big name people to come in and set up their systems. only to have the guy leave when he's finished and nobody really knows how to keep the system sounding as good as it did when it was setup. this is an every night issue. lola had the potential to be so much more than it was. if only they would have spent just a little bit more money on it. now these guys come in and look to have to the pocketbooks. let's hope the music heads are catered to as well.
