For house music, deffinatly. I was there saturday night until the music stopped and I still wanted more. They have the best line up of dj's (except twilo, of course) and you dont have hordes of underage kidz all fucked up sitting aroud the whole time. people go there to dance. Not to even mention how unbeleivable their staff is, at the door, at the bars, at the coatcheck, everywhere. they really know how to run a tight club with no bulshit and no problems. try saying that about anywhere else. Simpsons, 7:30 & 11:00 m-f If you live in the city, check out a show called 'Subway Q & A' on metro chanel mondays at 10:30. they go into the subways and ask people questions and make people on the subways actually talk, they fallow people up to they apartments to do whatever they were going to do, they make cars all sing songs together, and do other funny stuff like that, its pretty funny. for everyones information, dj's dont always have the ultimate say as to when and how long they play for. I always see paul getting bashed on these boards for roseland, when he was so sick he could bearly even get on the plane to NY the night of the show. when he did get here (i dont know if anyone here has flown sick) he wasn't fealing 100%, but he still went on and played for his fans. sorry, he doesnt have a weelky long ass set at twilo or anything, and jr does, sure, but these are 2 compleatly different djs with 2 cimpleatly different styles. I like them both, see them both, and will contiue to do so. if its for an hour or for 12, just be glad thqat you had a chance to see one of your favorite performers at all. I know this is a 'is jr. getting to old' post, so I will answer the question and say no way is he getting old. go any saturday night and you will see, there is no question. wetlands is deffinatly a phat place if you go when a cool event is going on. I have seen many acts there including DJ logic's Project Logic, the roots, the Disco Biscuts, an even some early phish shows in the early 90's. Just dont go there expecting it to be your regular club. you can see dramatic changes in their management and operational styles. It makes a serious effort to treat patrons curtiously (and not throw them in closets).
