  1. Sven Vath @ Vinyl in April was definitely up there best party was the 'I love techno' party...not in NYC though hmmm layo & bushwacka, Eric Morillo & Doc Martin @ Discotheque was a nice party
  2. definitely the case its already happening hopefully the real techno artists are the ones blowin up and it doesn't get watered down....but we'll see
  3. and that wouldn't open up any other problems either!!! I find it interesting how we're playing it off like this is a new problem vs. Iraq being an old one.....haven't we been at war with N. korea since the 50's?
  4. that would help ease the tensions in the middle east (blatantsarcasm)
  5. Around the Clock (restaurant on 3rd ave and 9th street) they're really good too! hmm.... there's quite a few late restaurants in NYC - check out 411 magazine, they usually have a page with recommended late eats
  6. at work? yeah....slaving away? no... have a good x-mas!
  7. sounds good, I'm reading David Sedaris's "Naked" right now - really good book if you haven't read it (its from like 1997) next I'm supposed to read Porno once ma girly finishes it..... maybe I'll get this one after that....
  8. so wait Deep Dish is at LL Oakey is at Exit and Deep Dish/Oakey are together at Capitale? .....spreadin themselves thin it seems...I guess you can forget about any big encores
  9. there is still some good stuff coming out, but fewer and farther between....even the old fav's are sucking this time around. (nas, etc).. you're def. right about every time I put 97 or 105.1 on its the same 10 songs (camron "we gonna get high tonight", or "jenny from the block" or missy ('lemme see how hard I gotta work it') or eve (gangsta lovin) or eminem (8 mile) or the new jay-z song or maaybe if I'm lucky its the erick sermon/redman track.....and can they let go of "even when I'm with my boo...ya know I'm crazy over you..." whatever happened to playing OTHER songs from teh album?
  10. yeah....hit this one if you're down w/techno Remy/BEYER!/Liebing(!!) = good combo!
  11. I've been more impressed with Mills than Hawtin, although maybe hawtin can be called more creative (experimental = creative?) most creative? hmm... haven't heard Laurent Garnier besides some downloaded stuff but he crosses genres pretty frequently from what I heard and what people have said
  12. whats up with this place? any idea whats there tonight?
  13. what's the musical situation @ disco?
  14. I love oreos but white chocolate macadamia nuts are probz the best
  15. prolly gonna hit up some spots to put back drinx and chillout, I always prefer a nice tech/house/etc DJ and a chill loungey venue, but I'm not sure what the deal is tonight besides Filter 14 & Open Air.... what do they have going on at liquids baktun guernica orchard bar bauhaus etc
  16. not sure if he's a resident but David HOllands has been there the last 2 fridays.....(and I think next fri. as well) they definitely need promoters...this is NYC, even though we're one of the most populated cities in the world, people just don't fill out the clubs anymore
  17. yeah I heard him drop that at "estate" what a busy weekend for that man!
  18. so wait, Tiesto is better than DT? good one! and by the way this would not be even close to the best party ever.....not even the best party in Arc this month.....tomorrow at Arc is better......Sven and Richie at Arc was better (at least for me)....the NYE party at Giant blows it away even for tiesto types...OK I'll stop nitpicking, obviously you were exaggerating....I'm sure it'll be fun....
  19. if you go into the club without any preconceived notions or expectations, you would really like it, I think.....when you compare it to your first time in a club, at the LL in 1992-7 or something, you'll be disappointed overall, a great night at a good venue, yeah its cleaner and maybe more sterile than before, but its still a great place to party DT was really good, very enjoyable set.....I liked that he dropped Hideaway, and some other memories.....the crowd was mixed, some amateur, some sheesh, plenty of cool people though....vinyl heads, twilo heads, LL heads, and party people in general....I think we forget that Twilo also filled up with half guidos on certain nights..... anyway, if the right DJ is there, I'd love to go back and party it up @ estate.....
  20. Clubnyc was first, then it became clubplanet.... the Twilo board came after this then Naughtybooth kinda pulled the Twilo board heads once they shut down ...around the same time VIP started and EZ Dreamer as well.... When it was just CP, those were the best days, everyone on the same board....now there's to many choices....its too diluted....definitely too much BS these days...maybe everyone learned everything they could about the scene and all of the same arguments happened a million times (SF vs. Twilo, Progressive/trance vs. Techno...., who likes sheeshy clubs?, top 10 Dj's? , etc etc) so people have to BS with each other...it also used to be more ananomous...now everyone knows each other and its clicky....everything changes though
