I must say, I really missed Boris, and I understand why right now as I'm typing this from my bed, under the covers... Boris is a classic progressive house DJ: nice, hard beats, but never too hard, and I guess that's the reason why I didn't hear any staight hard acid trance, because he doesn't dive into that genre headfirst like Mr. Draper does. I arrived at around 2. No line, and, to my surprise, no traffic whatsoever. The club wasn't as packed as, say, it's one year anniversary. It was a fairly good looking crowd and it sort of stayed consistant throughout the night until I left (stupid 7:30, because my cousins needed to get home in order to leave NY and back to their personal hell that is DC). But overall an awesome night, considering the fact that Boris spun lights out virtually all night long. And oh yeah, I thought him and Draper were supposed to spin last night. OOOOOOOOOOOH sorry i forgot we didnt think about their feelings...listen, one of the reasons some people go on fridays is to actually be inside the legendary nightclub. I'm sure that, just beacuse its SF, people will have a great time no matter what. and also, i really dont think people will miss luv-n-lodi one iota. Centro-Fly is 21 on every night. To be honest with you, there really isn't a real good 18 night on a thursday. Aria was 18 last thursday, but it was shamefully dead. Limelight probably is your best bet to have a good time. It's mostly a euro crowd. Trance is spun. Also I hear Zachary's in LI is 18, but I havent gone there yet. Last night at SF was one of the better Friday nights that they have had in recent memory. It was my first time listening to Andrew Mendez spin and he is a very good DJ, to say the least. The vibe was probably the best that I have ever felt, not counting Saturdays. The women were hot and the new Level 4 is a great looking place.
