We, VIPGuestList, NightClubCity, EzDreamer, Club Planet, & Naughty Booth have come to a decision as to where we will be holding our very first all message dinner and drinks meet-up!! I'm positive it will get everyone's approval. The restaurant is called America, located at 9 E. 18th Street between Broadway and 5th Avenue in none other then New York, NY. We would like for everyone to come down and enjoy a nice dinner and drinks with all of the participating message boards beginning at 6pm and ending whenever. The dinner is set for Friday, October 19th, 2001, and will only be canceled if we do not have a large enough response.... Which I’m positive will not be the case. As we approach the 19th, I will post an update on the approximate number of attendees as well as inform you of parties going on at the different venues through out the City for you to better plan your evening. It will be sponosred by NightClubCity, EzDreamer, VIPGuestList, & ClubPlanet We are looking to have it on October 19th which gives everyone more then enough time to set your calendars and mark your planners. We ask one thing though....Please supply us some suggestions of a good place for food and drinks that can accomodate approximately 200 people with no problem. Now, with your suggestion, also let me know why you chose the spot you did, atmosphere, food, music (if any), and if the prices are reasonable or not. Originally, we were going to have this at Apples, but came to the decision that it may not be able to accomodate everyone comfortably. Please email me at k.rac@verizon.net with your ideas as soon as you can. This way, I can get the info up, have the boards send it in emails, and we'll be on our way to partying the night away. luckyluche, I'm sorry but I completely disagree with you on this. What the boards are attempting to do here is to have a benefit party in order to raise money for the NYC Firefighters Widow's & Children's Fund. It's an absolutely fabulous cause to raise money for. If we are successful enough to pull in 500 attendees, then we will be able to donate $10,000 to them. And that's not including whatever Twirl, themselves, may donate. I don't think you are being fair to everyone by saying what we are doing is wrong. That we have no decency. I'm mortified about last week's occurance. And I think many have the same sentiments. But to say that gathering in a club to listen to music, to be with friends, to meet strangers feeling the same pain, to try and let the hurt and thoughts disappear for only a few hours is wrong, then I say, you are wrong and out of line. I went out last Saturday. And I partied. I dance, I laughed and I drank and it made me feel better. We are still grieving those lost and will hold them dear to our hearts but I don't think they want us to stop our lives because theirs have been stripped away from them. I am in total support of this party and I do hope people will come. I have made both monetary and item donations over the last week and I'm proud of that. Maybe you did not know but the Red Cross really does not require much more hands on help. Just the items. To say we need to stop our party because people have not yet been buried is unfair on your part and quite uncalled for. We, the people of America, need to move forth. After all the money SF makes in one night alone between entrance fees and liquor, you'd THINK they'd donate more then $10. It seems like nothing for a club of their merit. And they *ARE* only doing it because of bad mouThing by people against the club. It disgusts me! ~misskittie~ and to think i was gonna hit the s&m party
