Well I personally thought that the most interesting part of the night was definitely... the fire. Digweed was anticlimactic, and that's putting it mildly. I don't really care what kind of fire I'm about to draw from this board, but I don't go for that "amazing hour after three hours of blah" thing, and that's how it is. In the past I loved Digweed because he had a steady nonstop groove going from beginning to end, but last Friday he just wasn't on, as far as I am concerned. Which in and of itself is no big deal - I still think that he's a great DJ, just wasn't with it on this occasion. I have tons of friends in Miami, and for that matter I worked at Ultra and got myself and other people hooked up for free. My comment was that of "Yeah it was cool but it's better at other times", but if I had to pay for all that shit, I'd be downright pissed off and would have written something far harsher, as we all know I am capable of. I'm not really going to write anything other than this: now I know why in my three years of living on South Beach I had not gone to a single WMC - I knew better. (Well I was also not as into music then but still) Every event was packed as hell, overpriced as hell, and overhyped even worse. All of you that had fun and enjoyed it - I am glad that you did, but I guarantee you that you'd love Miami even more when there's no special events going on because that's when you get to experience the local vibe without the mad crowds. No argument there. A relationship means that yes, you do change your lifestyle to some degree - how much depends on the relationship and you - govern yourself accordingly. However, you're not very likely to reach any understanding or a happy medium if the girl's idea of relationship consists of spending weekends together and away from the evil of clubs, and the guy's - of giving her a big red hand with a "You're #1" for her birthday (or an equivalent manly-man gesture). Age's got nothing to do with it - you need to communicate with each other so that both are meeting each other's expectations and stay happy. If you can't reach an understanding with this under-28-year-old guy, chances are you will with another one. OK, I'm not trying to attack one or the other point of view, but wanted to present yet another angle - Erotic is obviously scorned, do you expect fair, unbiased information to judge the guy by? Hey youall, BlueAngel - if you already have a list running, could you put me on there somewhere? Speaking of alcohol, I got my skoolin' last night. With none other than sangria. Went to Churrascaria Plataforma (excellent place to stuff your face with a great variety of meats and beyond), and we got a couple of pitchers for three of us. Unlike my friends, I didn't have to drive home, so I took the lead. Long story short, I vaguely remember stumbling home, and when I woke up at 4 am (lights on, clothes on, etc), it took me a while to figure out how I got there. Today I have a certifiable hangover. But, I be damned if drinking sangria isn't fun!
