  1. I'll be there well before 6am .. the music is too good to arrive late. If you're putting together a pre 6am hookup, count me in.
  2. Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Since I moved to Manhattan two years ago from Canada (lived in Toronto and Montreal), I've been leading a double life .. responsible professional by day, insane clubber/drunkard by night. (ugh! that sounded like a Bacardi ad. I apologize) Most of my friends who share the double life are back home in Canada .. those same friends turned me onto ClubPlanet as a cool way to hook up with similar debauched souls. I have this feeling that my story is not that unusual here .. the life of the clubber can be a lonely one if your friends aren't into it. But "we're just like roaches. Never dyin', always livin." Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday at the pre-party at Twirl!
  3. ... who is not a lady. Sorry guys. I've been lurking on this board for the past week and thought it was time to say hello to you all. I have already grown addicted to these conversations .. this is a totally fun, diverse and sometimes disturbing group - my kind of crowd. Hope I get to meet all of you at S&D this Friday.
  4. Let's make some hard plans for S&D this Friday. Pre-drinks are the best way to meet .. way too crowded in Twilo to try a "meet at the DJ booth" kinda thing. Entry into Twilo should be around 1-2ish ... big line-up no matter what. All are welcome - drunk, sober, rolling .. whatever makes you happy (and if you're choosing the latter, bring some for me!). Just wear your best club wear. Any good ideas for a drink locale?
  5. This game proves that Curtis Martin is, and has always been, the most important Jet on offense. Keyshawn has no quarterback throwing to him and he's stuck in a run offense. And maybe he's learned that you can't piss off the other team and put your team on the spot like that. Al Groh is a great coach and the Jets are a great team. Yeah, baby!!!!
  6. I'm totally in the mood to hit the clubs tonight, and most of my friends are busy or wimping out. I'm new to ClubNYC, so you don't know me. But if you want to include a stranger along for the ride tonight, we should hook up somewhere.
  7. If you don't know before you go into the club, you'll figure it out when you're in there. If 90% of the crowd is big men with their shirts off (like Twilo on a Saturday night), then it's probably an "alternative" night. Most bouncers will warn you at the door if it's a big gay night. You can also look up club listings in magazines like Time Out New York, or even on this website - they usually will tell you who goes where on what night. Hope this helps.
  8. This book gets better with each chapter (trust me ... my story has many chapters in many different books). It blows my mind how many people are into the scene today .. all ages, colors, rich or poor. Either we're all totally fucking ourselves up for the rest of our lives, or this is merely the way we're supposed to evolve. Probably both. Enjoy the ride. Where does the 2nd chapter begin? Sounds like a good party.
  9. Somebody please help me get off this computer tonight. I've gone out every night this week and it finally caught up with me. I feel like crap .. but all I can think about is gettin' out of here and going to a club. My other choices are meeting my more boring friends at a regular bar, or staying home and watching soft core porn on Cinemax. Help!!! What should I do?
  10. We've got the makings of a great group for S&D next week. Stay tuned for further details. Can't wait to meet you all.
  11. We have an offer from Kimmr of the weekend after next (the 29th) for a gathering of "The Elder Clubbers" (and, of course, anyone else who wants to hang out. We all love the scene). An obvious choice is Sasha and Digweed at Twilo on Friday the 29th. Always a great party when they're in town. Who's interested?
  12. I turn 30 in 72 days, and I grow more fascinated by the club scene as I get older. Nothing this cool existed in the 80s - simply known as "The Decade That Sucked". And I agree that having some cash to spend makes the scene so much more fun compared to the starving students. This list of "veterans" has the makings of a wild party group. Any takers?
  13. The coolest part of the fog-out is the guy who walks through the crowd with a light and goggles on his head and a snorkel in his mouth who pretends to be 'swimming' through the fog. That totally screwed me up when I saw that at Sasha & Digweed back in July.
