FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  5. that's really fun...like bruce wayne using "BatMan" and "I'mBatMan". or "SpiderMan" and "Spidey" FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  6. how did you know i eat like that? i swear. start out a saint, end up a sinner. FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  7. this gives new meaning to "hug a tree" FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  8. rob, thanks. there's so much going on this weekend my head's kinda spinning trying to keep it straight. never been to the tunnel so I don't the layout, but what about by the men's room? there usually isn't a line by the men's room and most clubs have a kind of loungey area near the lav. meeting by the women's room would kinda freak out the women in there. maybe at 2am? or maybe a pre-meetup? 9. bump, to correspond with the other thread : ) ------------------ nurturing the embers
  10. i thought someone started a post for this yesterday and a meeting place was already determined, no? FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  11. you've got to be kidding. boy, just go. who cares what you look like. what? you think all the other "cool kids" are gonna stick you in a locker if you're not dressed right? just be, man. : ) peace baby, FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  12. I'm sorry, but that is just too funny. LOFL,ROTF. FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  13. I've occassionally thought of countering a "what's with all the (insert racial slur here) at xyz club?" post with a "what's with all the stupid people who are a sad excuse for existence at xyz club?" but then I realized that no one that stupid is worth the energy spent posting that. FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  14. thanks for taking the time to send me some good vibes. hugs FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  15. dark smudgey eyes are always cool. I've also seen geometric symbols done on the face (you use scotch or hair tape to do the lines). you could exaggerate the planes of your face. I think focusing on the eyes is best because they are the most expressive feature and offer the most surface. symbols around your hairline or on the cheeckbones or jawline could be really cool. what kind of mood are you going for? FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  16. I feel your pain. after being sick for many months (about 6), I just started going out again last month...going out as in leaving the house for something other than food. man, it's so frustrating! I'll be at a club and absolutely LOVING the music, but my body just has nothing left and I'll have to leave. I'm good for about 2 hours, maybe 3, when I used to rage on til dawn. only thing I can suggest is hit lounges (halycon maybe) until you're well enough to club. at least you can enjoy the tunes and be around people. and there's always chair dancing. : ) hugs & sunshine, FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  17. a silly morning post (I'm trying to counter the blahs & icks). what are your favorite names from this board? my votes: 1) divalicious 2) shadowchaser 3) sillylittlename FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  18. morning bump, along with some shopping info: check out --Ricky's (everywhere) --Religous Sex, Fifth Wheel and everything else on St. Marks!! --Canal Street off of B'way has a lot of great plastics, rubbers, and industrial supplies --Party City on 14th St between 5th & 6th --Abracadabra (check 411, I think one near 21st and 5th) --Halloween Adventure Store (4th & 12th or so) soho/noho area: --Alice Underground (vintage store on b'way towards Canal Street, near Old Navy) --Canal Jeans (the whole shop, particularly the basement, on b'way towards Canal St., opposite side of street of Old Navy) --Andy's Cheapies (vintage store, b'way, near Waverly) --all the stuff on west 8th St, from 6th to b'way --Paper House, but it's on b'way, right next to Make10, around 3rd FG btw, I've decided to go to Maskarave as the groove fairy...when you see the crowd start jumping, that'll be thanks to me *s ------------------ nurturing the embers [This message has been edited by firegirl (edited 10-24-2000).]

  20. yeah, your mother. *wg FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  21. hey boa boy! good to see you back online! how's the packing going for the big trip over? what's with all these hazelnut trees? freaky. I'm kind of at the cusp because my birthday is about 11:30pm on Aug 13, which puts me so near the next tree. I'm hoping a little of the cedar seed is in there, coz man I sound like a basket case. : ) POPLAR TREE: (the Uncertainty) – looks very decorative, not very self-confident, only courageous if necessary, needs goodwill and pleasant surroundings, very choosy, often lonely, great animosity, artistic nature, good organiser, tends to lean toward philosophy, reliable in any situation, takes partnership seriously. the "looks very decorative" cracks me up! my close friends would find that so funny...if it's fuzzy and shiny, it's me. FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  22. only one solution: pick a night where folks here are meeting up and get your butt over there. I go to clubs by myself all the time because most of my close friends aren't into it. Either I meet up with folks there (like from this list), or I meet new friends there...it's pretty easy if you're a woman because people feel more comfortable or safer approaching you. I just try to balance my club time and my friend time. and please, have you ever really stood back and watched people at a club dance? like really watched them? for every 1 good dancer there are about 25 spazzes or people who aren't really moving. most people are concerned with what they look like, but few people are actualy noticing...which means most people are so self-conscious that they're too busy worrying about themselves to notice anyone else. and the exception to this are the people who are too busy rocking out in the zone to notice anyone else. and ask anyone who was at the twirl/twilo mixer about a month or so back...I don't dance *well*, I just dance. or more accurately, I jump & wiggle around. and would you believe people still talk to me? *w* what does all this mean? relax! and shake your booty! 23. adding a post by suhel: FRI OCT 27 --------- This Friday at The Tunnel... ~One Night Only~ The Halloween Weekend Masquerade Ball Mainfloor Music By Eddie Baez Keioki & yours truly... 24. sheesh! i hope you're ok and it's just some bumps and bruises. how many times do i have to tell you red means STOP and green means GO. FG ------------------ nurturing the embers
  25. never been, totally down for it. what's it been like in past years as far as costumes go? meaning, do most people come in costume? and should I dress in a costume that allows for lots of sweaty dancing and moving through tight crowds? I was considering head-to-toe silver body paint, but i'm afraid it could get nasty after dancing for a bit. FG ------------------ nuturing the embers
