  1. I was at Exit too for NYE and boy was that place packed!! I mean Exit's a huge club but to see it that packed was something else! Anyways back to the topic at hand I think that if you lost your ticket you should be beating yourself up for it. Take responsibility for your blunder!! Most people know that if they lose a coat check ticket they are pretty much screwed until the night's over. Now it's everyone's responsibility to be careful with their ticket and not careless. If you lose your ticket it's pretty much your own fault and your at the mercy of the club's personnel. That night was a crazy night I assume the people whom were working the coat check had a lot of people to take care of. They may have been overwhelmed but if they had treated you rudely then I can't blame you for being a little upset at them. Having that being said you can't expect them either to give you your coat back when you don't have your coat check ticket at the snap of your fingers!! The coat check ticket is proof you paid to leave your coat there. Next time be more careful so you can avoid situations like this. I'm glad it was a happy ending for you and that you got your coats back!!
  2. I agree too. I like to hear and record the sets that some of these dj's play but it's hit or miss a majority of the time. To me it seems that these djs record their sets earlier in the day and then they are played back between 3-5 am on Fri's and Sat's? Is that right? Am also wondering if any of the newest stereo systems come with a cd burner so that I could record sets on cds rther than tapes? I don't have time to listen to KTU on a daliy basis but I feel that KTU has a tendency to play out certain songs just like many other stations do as well. It's a very ugly trend to follow!!
  3. Well I'm not shocked that he would play at clubs here but am surprised that he plays at small sized clubs. He usually prefers to play at bigger venues. I guess he has to survive too and play wherever. He's got enough dough to go around if you ask me. The cover price was the real shock. I also agree that $40 per head to see him is a little steep but, people here will pay that much because they know that he was the previous DJ at SF for a long time. That price is absurd if you ask me for playing that short of a set.
  4. Sounds like I missed out based on this review. I thought the price was steep but if that many girls went I guess it evened out the price. JP is a good DJ but should never be compared to Ali!! Ali accomplished a hell of lot more than JP ever will. I don't think JP is the greatest of all time but he's pretty damn good. If I go to NYC for NYE hope to cya all at Exit!!
  5. Not always. When I lived in Bastan and he played at Avalon there were times were he was way off!! He was hit or miss when he plays someplace other than SF. To me he played his best sets at SF. I think he'll be pumped up to be playing at Exit this NYE!! Get your tix!!
  6. I wanted to go to hear what he played but it sounds like no one was disappointed!! People couldn't jam in there I know. Your right after realizing how small Mor really is I doubt he would like the thought of playing again in club the size of a closet!! It probably was a one time event!! You never know though.
  7. I agree $40 per head is way too much for MOR!! In Bastan the charge would be $20 to see him at Avalon. Avalon is much bigger than MOR too. I don't know if he still plays up there? His contract may may have been up though. I could imagine that people felt like sardines last night!! You probably couldn't even dance up in there!! Do you think he will come to MOR again? I like when he loops the songs because sometimes you think you know what is going to be played next and then he drops a surprise on you!! I was at the Halloween party at SF and one of the guys filming the party said that another SF cd was in the works for that party but now I doubt that it will come out because JP no longer works there!! That night he played a sick set!!
  8. Was it really packed? Are these new tracks?
  9. It would of been chaotic had he not showed for the ones that paid but good thing he came. If he comes again to MOR I may go down to see him. Hey Trizel, is Nation a hot club in LI just wondering?
  10. Did it seem that after the night ended that JP would return to MOR once again?
  11. Glad to see that things turned out differently than I thought they would. I'm really surprised!! I think $40 per head is still way too much to see him here in CT!! Even in Bastan the max cover would be $20 per head to see him at Avalon. It's the same price you would pay to see him at Exit for NYE and you would hear him a lot longer too! I'm wondering if there was room to dance there? It must of been packed beyond belief!! Was there a lot of women? I guess all of Westchester was in the house? I guess the next stop for JP will be at Exit I hope to see you all there!!
  12. So did anyone on this board go? Just curious to see how it was.
  13. That's why I didn't go. Place is pretty small too!! I'll see JP in due time maybe for New Year's at Exit, just maybe?
  14. I also think you had to pay for tix in advance through the promoters of this event. I think most of the promoters resided from Westchester.
  15. I was going to go but my friends did not want to pay that much plus that place is going to be way too packed!! I've seen JP plenty of times and know that when he played elsewhere (besides SF) he just didn't give it his all. I saw him when he used to play at Avalon (way bigger than MOR) in Bastan and his sets were below his standards. He just didn't care to play his best stuff and spun while being fucked up. It may of been because it was in Bastan too and he didn't care much for Beantown. I think tonight the cover was to be between $35-40 dollars per head. I think he was supposed to start playing at 8pm. If anyone goes and returns early enough to post a review please post and let me know if it was any good.
  16. I'm a JP fan as well too and this is a riot!! Hey is it true that JP has a twin brother? Or a brother that looks like him.
  17. I agree the price is too steep for Mor !! Exit is huge, it's just one huge space of a club though. It doesn't have the intimacy feel of SF I think. It's weird seeing him there now or I guess for that night? I don't think the sound system is a good as SF's but it' s ok. Exit is a very sketchy club though. The first and only time I went there a buddy of mine's car was broken into right around the corner from there and the club was really beat that night!! This was ages ago. $40 for that night doesn't sound bad though!!
  18. I don't live in Westcheser so if you know some of the promoters drop me a line. Or else how would I get tix? That place is going to be FILLED beyond capacity!!
  19. WTF!! That has nothing to with it you ignorant fool!! The reason why the Yankees need Pettite back is because he's been a very durable lefty pitcher for the Yankees the last 9 years and has succeeded in NY!! Not just because he's white!! It also doesn't hurt either that he came up through the farm system. Color has nothing to do with being talented in baseball nor does speaking perfect english. It does help though. Just look at MLB for a change!! Not everyone is literate but so what. Talent to me speaks for itself!!
  20. 20-30 girls doesn't sound like that much!! There should have been more let in than that. So did JV make most people forget about JP for a night or was he ok (to those who are JV followers)? I heard him once up in Boston's Roxy but never heard him at Palladium or Twilo. I know it's not the same thing at all that's why I'm asking. Also was Paris strict with the dress code?
  21. I don't know if he's Boston's top DJ but he's up there. I think Roger M could give him a run for his money though.
  22. I guess he's one of those reliable sources?
  23. Where did you hear this from? The grapevine. There is nothing confirmed anywhere!! Nice try.
  24. Is this event still going down or not? If so can someone list the cover?
  25. Well said!! You see the whole picture. I guess the people you should feel sorry for are the people who's lives are exploited at the expense of some lame networks at an attempt to make a quick profit from it.
