it finally rained today, washing my dirty-ass car ! my brother's in town, and we're going to disneyland on wednesday, for free !!! (yay for hookups!!!) but the best is, as always, that i got to hang out with my favorite friend (my best, i guess) the week before this past weekend, and will this weekend. he makes me happier than anything .

i did, actually . i dyed my hair and blow-dried it totally straight; the whole bit! i don't fuck around on halloween!!!this year i think i'm gonna be anna nicole smith, but i'm gonna have to break my halloween code of ethics and wear a wig in order to do that, which is really gonna suck ; i don't wanna bleach my hair (i've dyed it dark brown, black, and red for previous halloweens). i've wanted to be debbie harry and goldie hawn previously, but gave up on them 'cause i didn't wanna bleach - but anna nicole is such a tempting notion that i think i may have to break down and cheat.

i would've posted this in the sticky, but i need an answer before tomorrow night . my brother's in town and i'm gonna take him out to din-din, but i don't particularly know of any good, reasonably-priced mexican places in l.a. anyone?

really? do tell!one time i was choking on a life saver, and i swear, it was the hole that kept me from choking to death ! that candy earned its name that day .

wow! can you believe i've been doing the column for a whole year ??? sometimes deep, sometimes less so , sometimes just plain weird , but i've done it every day for a year - only minus days when i was away from a computer or when recovering from surgery last summer. i'd say that there are 350 entries at the least. to answer the oft-asked question, i make them up every day myself, based on my past and present experiences. i don't quote other people, books, or services. i take all the credit or blame, whichever the case may be . i hope some of you like reading it as much as i like writing it, and i hope to write a year worthy of following this one .

it is not wise to chew gum or suck on candy while exercising/playing sports ; it's possible and even easy to choke on it in all the commotion. tune in tomorrow.

here i am as xena for halloween back in the day. this was before xena was all huge; i made the costume out of pleather from a bathingsuit pattern i altered into a dress: there was a girl at my school who naturally looked a lot like gabrielle, but i didn't know her well enough to ask her to be my sidekick .

i couldn't look at it for long enough before a pop-up ad came up! defeated the joke entirely.

let appropriate management/authorities know about practical problems. that broken stair could end up seriously injuring someone who doesn't know he/she should jump over it . this isn't complaining or being a nuisance; it's the property owner's job and does everyone good. if you still feel shy about it, think of it this way: you fix problems in your own house... tune in tomorrow.

that's unbelievable, man; uncool .my last ex once answered the phone when we were lying in bed but had been finished for some time, but he was talking about me on the phone, to his friend, in terms i didn't care for and referred to our relationship in ways that showed me we weren't on the same page at all . that was near the end.

i'm a champion hula hooper - no one could ever beat me. i'm a kickass jump roper, too, but i didn't get to do double-dutch till i got to high school, because the black girls at my junior high wouldn't let white girls play .
