I stayed at the Beacon this past weekend. First time there. I would say it was sufficient. Beds comfy. Service good, Clean rooms. Quiet. Reasonably priced. Only room for two people each room though. 3 chicks would be a sardine can. PERFECT LOCATION at 7th and Ocean. May not be the loud party place you are looking for. Plenty of other places to do that.

For the brief time I was there the (maybe 45 minutes) music was pretty good. Not great. I think Vaughn was spinning. Introduced briefly. Wasn't able to talk much as he was busy behind the decks. Introduced myself to Phil briefly and got to say hello to Funk on my way out. I think I saw some other familiar faces from the boards but didn't get to talk to any of them. The only gripe I had was the dude/chick ratio was bad which was why my friends wanted to leave for Pawn Shop (which might I add was really good).
