You have about a one week window after they announce the dates where you can book hotels at a good rate. Then hotels, etc. usually jack up the rates once they find out the dates. I would say your date guess is probably a good one. Last two years have been between those dates. Prediction...a few events will top the $100 mark to get in.

Went to Moda on a Saturday 4th of July had a blast. great tunage. Friday 4th of July weekend went to Sound bar but wasn't that crowded. Music good though. Heard Spy Bar is cool. Heard rockit ranch is cool as well as reserve. maybe stone lotus and J bar at the James Hotel. Good chill places, nice looking crowd. Yeah, Chicago is OK. Like Miami and NYC much better. Even Vegas for that matter.

Hopefully the S man will make up for it this Saturday.
