  1. The people in LA have been living with policies like this for years. No smoking in bars, clubs, or restaurants. Eventually we'll all get used to it. A bartender woking an 8 hour shift inhales the equivalent of 1/2 pack of cigarette smoke. The same bartender also has a 1.5 to 2 times greater chance of contracting lung cancer than someone working in a non-smoking environment. Ask former flight attendants who used to work when they allowed smoking on planes. This bill will pass because Mayor Mike is focusing on the employees of establishments.
  2. I'm a big fan of Shipmates. Especially last night, with the guy from long island...with the sleeveless shirt...with lots of tats...and waxed eyebrows...who still lived at home with his mom and liked it.
  3. Yeah this I found out. I gave out new working copies this past weekend at Howells. If you'd like a replacement or if you haven't gotten one just PM me or email me your address. As for a cue sheet, I'll try to get track times listed...soon as I get a chance
  4. Damn! I wanted one of those so bad until the new Escalade came out. I saw a black tinted out Escalade on Houston St. the other night and it had those 22's that keep spinning when the car is stopped. Every head was turned towards that thing:eek::eek:
  5. Thanks for the props, bro I think I put more effort into the track selection this time than I usually do. FYI track 8 is "Hungry" by Kosheen (Satoshi Tomeii Mix). Also, if you like techno, you'll like the next CD I'm working on. As for Jon Stephen, our styles have always meshed pretty well. Ever since we used to spin at Pseudo I always thought we should do a tag team set. Jon? One more thing...if you're on Kazaa my entire CD is available on MP3...just search for "Cosentino". Also, the entire track list can be found at http://mikec.nu
  6. this thread is taking some kind of weird turn...
  7. He was awesome back in the day, but he was neither scratching nor showing any technique. Just yelling his own name like a madman on the mic. I'm not hating on him, just hating on bad music at a good venue.
  8. Yeah I had a better time at weddings than in GMF's room at Smirnoff. And get off the goddamn microphone for a few minutes so we can hear the crap you're playing. It sounded like KTU "Level 1" or some shit like that...
  9. why does that sound so obscene? We're talking about a car, right?
  10. It's certainly no '96 NEON Then again I'm all over the '03 Neon SRT. Hello? 205hp and 5.9 0-60 out of the box??? Honda who?
  11. Gotta disagree on that one. I mean, have you SEEN the very American Pontiac Aztek? That's so aweful you gotta love it. Love the Renault or hate it you have to give props to the Europeans for being a bit creative with their automotive design. The US never gets to see some of the cool stuff like the small "city" cars (i.e. the Mercedes A-class). We're stuck in Taurus, Camry, Accord, and Caravan hell. The competition is so fierce in the US that truly creative designs must take a backseat to non-offensive blandness. Only now thanks to companies like Daimler-Chrysler (who pioneered the concept-car-to-showroom idea) are we starting to see some interesting vehicles.
  12. If your company doesn't provide health insurance, check out http://workingtoday.org/ They specialize in healthcare for independant contractors and freelancers. It's not free ($255/mo.) but you get full coverage including dental. I believe they work on the HIP network, so you know there are a lot of doctors involved.
  13. joe g....sounds like you need a fresh tampon...or three!

  19. I'm italian and I grew up in Brooklyn. Nuff said. What do I remember? Disco on the *original* 92 WKTU in the early 80's... Freestyle music on HOT 103 in the late 80's and then HOT 97 in the early 90s before they changed to all hip hip. Started DJing in 1989, starting out by carrying records and setting up stuff for the school dance DJs... In 1993, house music at the Palladium on 14th Street with DJ Charlie Cassanova, and techno and trance at Limelight. The first song I ever heard in a club was "I Like to Move It" by Reel 2 Real (yikes!) at a place called Club Morocco on Staten Island. Have I dated myself enough?
