What can you do? I design and develop web sites from home. Seems like the interactive industry is one of the few to be actively supporting telecommuting... Or you can always start growing "plants" in your basement or attic...

I agree...I switched from Verizon DSL to Roadrunner cable and it's WAY faster...only advantage DSL has over cable is the higher upload speed...and how much uploading do you REALLY do? I also don't buy into the theory that cable slows down when more people are using it (maybe that was more prevalent in the past) . I live in a very populated area with a lot of users and my connection never slows down. Also true that you just don't need AOL when you have an always-on connection. All you need is a web browser, an email client, and IM and you're good to go...

We all know how sick the CDJ-1000 is... So does anyone know how this new Denon DNS-5000 is? http://www.idjnow.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=dns5000 scratching, a MOVING platter (finally!), play TWO simultaneous tracks, play a track without a CD loaded, etc gotta admit Denon makes good CD decks...and for $300 less than the CDJ-1000 it looks tempting...

He was a fun DJ to watch. He has amazing technical skills. Still, he threw down like 30 tracks an hour, all hard and fast. Most people were just standing around watching him. I never really got into it...I almost left out of snoredom but I stuck it out. Was good to see so many CP heads though:D

First of all, I'm not making fun of SI. If you would have seen the MTV show you'd know there's no need to make fun of it. Those people did a fine job of making themselves look bad. Second, I lived in Annadale for 7 years and was glad when I finally got off that shithole island.

Speaking of Staten Islanders, did anyone see that MTV documentary "Real Life: I'm Getting Married" with that one couple who were cursing each other out in their SUV, and then the husband-to-be threatening to kill the limo driver? Classy, some of them folks...

I'll be making a weekend stop in south FL (west palm beach specifically) over Super Bowl weekend...arriving Fri morning 1/24 and leaving Mon morning 1/27. I was wondering if any of you knew anyone that could use a guest DJ (that would be me) for Friday or Saturday night. Anywhere would be fine, like Ft. Laud or Miami or whatever. I'm visiting family and I'd rather not have to hang out with them fri AND sat night...and I wouldn't mind spreading some NYC goodness while I'm there:D House, Techno, Breaks, whatever is all good. My FL connections are somewhat weak these days so I figured I'd ask some fellow CPers. Thanks!
