  1. Are you feelin his new facial tat??
  2. Personally I would never book someone with a CAPS LOCK issue like he has. That said, I don't think he was looking for a free ride. He did mention all the DJs who learned the skills and put in the time. Just keep at it, whether it takes 5 months or 15 years. As long as you enjoy it along the way. And people shouldn't be so bitter. This is the way the entertainment industry forever has been and always will be.
  3. HBO on demand rules. Sounds like the same features Time Warner DTV has. can you say "3 straight hours of Curb Your Enthusiasm"??
  4. Can I photoshop you into more pictures and/or smilies?

  10. MYSTERIOUS WHITE POWDER ENVELOPES NORTHEAST U.S.; BUSH DECLARES WAR ON IRAQ'S WEAPONS OF MASS PRECIPITATION
  11. Can anyone confirm this? I'm getting a lot of IMs about this but can't find info anywhere.
  12. Is that not what the mysterious "check engine" light is?
  13. I DJed this big thing at Amazura back in '98. I got to meet a lot of these artists, including Noel and Cynthia (who autographed a picture disc of "Like a Star"). Was fun, though the turnout was rather disappointing. Linabina: "Maria" was OK but it really was to freestyle what Deborah Cox is to the dance music scene. More pop than anything. Quoth: I agree...stay far far away from anything related to KTU, except of course to meet hot latinas (they all have their BFs in tow) as well as guidettes if that's yout thing. Everything they do is shite and they thrown in the cheesiest cheeseballs for these events. Best thing to do is get an old tape or CD and listen to it in private and reminisce about the old days:laugh: On a related note, does anybody remember "Dance Party USA" on USA Network?

  15. "brilliant" This word is thrown around far too frequently, when used to describe anything from a movie to an author to an episode of South Park. There are very few things that are truly brilliant. The use of this word must be stopped!
  16. I just found out recently that Qwest was one of the people who I used to talk to back then. I think he was even one of the listeners of the live show. This was also another site...I think it was called PhatBeats are something like that. But as for hearing FS in a club. No thanks. It's too slow and frankly, too cheesy. I can remember being in high school back in like '91 and people had Regals and Monte Carlos and you'd hear the loud systems bangin the FS beats. It IS good for playing in your car and singing (and if you're lucky you had a GF who can sing right next to you), since undoubtedly the lyrics are engrained in everyone's heads...
  17. For the record (no pun intended), I don't love freestyle, at least not in the way I did back in the day. I enjoy it every now and then just to reminisce, and it's definitely not what I spin regularly. That said, I do have old MicMac records, the ones with the white label and red logo. I think I even have the first MicMac release (is it "You Make Me Feel" by Shattered Glass)? Now there's only a select few people in the entire world who know about this, but I figured while we're on the topic I might as well come clean. A few years ago me and a friend of mine used to run this site called WKTU.com (no affiliation with the radio station:tongue: ). I have about 50 archived freestyle mixes that are still live which you can access at http://wktu.com/archive.html Feel free to peruse and tell me what you think. I'll post my top guys' tracks later on...
