  1. The ball droping I can deal with but that horrible melody/song old man time that is always played stimulates something in my brain.
  2. Just read some of the other replys to this thread. The one's who have experienced lay off's are those who were coasting. Real bankers don't get laid-off. Real bankers bring in the business. Dot -com guys were coasters. Real originators who bring in business don't coast they earn. I know this sounds like a harsh statement but it's true and I can back it up so come on you Stern kid's, Ivy grads it's lunch time if you want.
  3. Ok here's the deal, Best advice I can give is this learn to feel ,taste , touch a deal an investment deal or M&A deal. I breifly read some of the replys to your questions, yes it is true it's not what you know but who you know. I belive that because your a freshmen you might not be able to take a credit course yet but the most important thing to know is under-writing ,the only way your going to learn this is by feeling a deal ,tasting and touching a deal. Why doesn't the M1 reconcile with line 21 ? why doesn't the balance sheet line up with schedule L ? every thing else is second nature. Read books on accounting , find out the tricks Corporate accounts use to show profit or for that matter hide it. This is is what it's all about. Also decide this When a banker wakes up in the morning he/she is there to do one thing . Bankers don't fix cars , don't build houses and dont cook meals , they make money and as long as they did that they did what they got up to do that day. Now ask your self this are you willing to do this every day? Do you like riding roller-coasters, this business is all about high's and low's everyone works long hour's and do you know why ? Because their still trying to do what they got up in the morning for.
  4. Here's the deal with POWDER it's owned by MARCUS( Formally the GM at Float -when it was good in 1998-2000) The GM is Randy- Door man from Pangea and the VIP manager is JAIMA from Pangea so you see the connection here. Iv'e been both FRI/SAT and the crowds till recently have been a little light. But I think that by late JANUARY this place will hit. The inside is nice cavernous space all white (so it feels a little cold). Music so far has been decent but it appears their working on that. Hope that helps.
  5. I love a Trendy/VIP party as much as the next guy but Bungalow 8 just doesn't work. Forget about the problems at the door , forget about the expense because once your inside it's not fun . I had more fun fucking around with the doorman outside then I have once im in.
  6. PANGEA - Laffeyette and 4th just North of Serafina POWDER- 16 and 10th (Down the ST from ROXY)
  7. The one I found to work the best is HALCION. However Ambien works well but sometimes you need a higher dose ,takes a little longer to come on( which means you actually feel the misery your trying to escape). Be careful mixing, this is how people never wake up. Be safe
  8. It's sort of like Pangea but with less attitude. Nice space very big for lounge/club. www.powderdeep.com
  9. I think a big reason that many feel jilted by VS is because if its dark content and the fact that there really isn't a happy ending which many of us are use too. Additionaly the film makes a statement. The first one being always be sure of the choices you make this is high lighted in two parts of the film first time when he gets in the car . If he would have never lead that girl on he never would have been disformed. Second time is when he decides to comit suicide to repair the damage of his first fuck up and signs up for the lucid dream which becomes a nightmare. JUst my .2 cents
  10. Actually thats almost acurate however only"champagne" produced in the Champagne region of France are aloud to be called champange if you produce "champagne" in any other region of France it is not allowed or sold as "champagne" or for that matter any where else in the world.
  11. I GUESS YOU KIDS MISSED ARGENTINA BEAT NIGERIA 1/0
  12. In my opinion I think what happened in the FRANCE / SENEGAL MATCH is like most european nations FRANCE plays a very technical game . However the AFRICAN countries that are participating in the cup after the first 10 min throw rules out the window and play a vulgar and passionate game.
  13. No need to argue kids, if you follow the euro leagues then you know you can make 2 world champion teams out of this list! Squad : Argentina 1 Germán Adrián Ramón Burgos G 34 0 6-2 198 33 Atletico Madrid 12 Pablo Oscar Cavallero G 6 0 6-2 172 28 Celta Vigo 23 Roberto Oscar Bonano G 13 0 6-1 183 32 Barcelona 2 Roberto Ayala D 74 3 5-10 165 29 Valencia 4 Mauricio Roberto Pochettino D 14 2 5-11 176 30 Paris St Germain 6 Walter Adrián Samuel D 28 3 6-2 161 24 AS Roma 13 Diego Rodolfo Placente D 4 0 5-9 159 25 Bayer Leverkusen 22 José Antonio Chamot D 41 2 6-1 172 33 AC Milan 3 Juan Pablo Sorín M 33 5 5-8 143 26 Cruzeiro 5 Matías Jesús Almeyda M 30 1 5-9 159 29 Parma 8 Javier Zanetti M 64 3 5-10 165 29 Inter Milan 10 Ariel Ortega M 81 17 5-7 141 28 River Plate 11 Juan Sebastian Verón M 46 7 6-1 176 27 Manchester United 14 Diego Pablo Simeone M 104 11 5-9 154 32 Lazio 15 Claudio Daniel Husaín M 14 1 5-10 165 28 River Plate 16 Pablo Cesar Aimar M 17 1 5-7 137 23 Valencia 20 Marcelo Gallardo M 41 14 5-7 154 26 Monaco 7 Claudio Javier López F 47 10 5-10 165 28 Lazio 9 Gabriel Omar Batistuta F 75 55 6-1 161 33 AS Roma 17 Gustavo López F NA NA 5-9 161 29 Celta Vigo 18 Cristian González F 29 4 5-9 157 28 Valencia 19 Hernan Crespo F 33 17 6-0 172 27 Lazio 21 Claudio Paul Caniggia F 49 16 5-8 150 35 Rangers
  14. I'm one off those people that go Lotus,Pangaea and other such venues. I think it was a scumbag thing to do I spend alot off cash in these places and would have not had a problem with them being in there even if it wasn't fleet week. As a matter of fact I think many of the the patrons would have taken very good care of them. If you kids are that upset about it im sure theres some one at the POST or Daily News that would be all over this and exploit those fucks.
  15. I think most of these guys become cops because of job security. Also many of them come from house holds where one or both parents are civil service workers , eventually it becomes a family sort of thing . Mom works in city hall , Dad is in the DPW and so on. However I have come across a few cops recently through mutual friends and have made a bizzare observation . They seem to be pissed off all the time. Which brings me to this question . Why is there a high rate of suicide among law enforcement?
  16. I don't know of Gatians interest in Crobar. However I was in SOBE two weeks ago at Crobar and they had fliers out for Crobar NY. I don't know how god this will be the CROBAr franchise (MIAMI and CHICAGO ) aren't really that clubber friendly more of tourist type places.
  17. I need info on Hampton hotels. If anyone knows of any nice places it will help alot (ie: the hudson,w hotels ny , that sort of thing) Thanks in advance .
  18. I actually drive in to NJ often for business. It seems like the cops get real bad when the weather starts to warm up. Its probably going to be bad for like the next 45 to 60 day or till like may or so. Just today I must have seen about 20 speed traps on the turn pike and parkway with in a 20 mile stretch that works out to be 1 pig every mile FTP.
  19. I just flew out of NEWARK last week and security is still so so at best. I actually went through security and had a gillete sensor razor with three cartridges in the front zipper of my carry on and no one said anything. Now miami is no joke three check points to get into the terminal and one more before you walk into the tunnel to get in the plane.
  20. I Just got back on Monday from SOBE. Seen flyers for JP at LIVINGROOM DOWNTOWN on Sunday the 24th (WMC SUNDAY) 24 HOUR SET.
  21. With the exception of the Boardroom, all VIP areas are decentralized, meaning that there are different spaces in the venue that may or may not become roped-off as a VIP area on a given night, depending on the circumstances. The central idea behind this concept is to create small VIP spaces on any floor when needed, and then liberating these same areas to the grand public when there are no takers. Also we wanted to avoid huge concentrated spaces blocked-off from the general public in one same floor. We'd try to eliminate the feeling of exclusion that an area like this would cause. One sole wristband admits that guest to ANY VIP area in the whole building (with the exception of the Boardroom, whose passes supersede all others). Access to the VIP areas are obtained by table reservation (with a minimum expenditure that varies according to circumstances) or by face recognition by the VIP area doorman, if it is a club regular. THIS IS FROM THE BILLBOARDLIVE WEBSITE. I THINK THEY WILL BE MORE THEN HAPPY TO LET ME IN IF I PLAN ON THROWING SOME MONEY AROUND. AS FAR AS VIP FOR WHO YOU ARE AND NOT WHAT YOU SPEND THATS NOT WHAT THERE WEB SITE SAYS . MY FRIEND ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY CLUB OWNERS OPEN CLUBS FOR ONE REASON AND THATS TO MAKE MONEY.
  22. As pretentious as this sounds which are the exclusive clubs . Hardest to get into , vip only sort of thing. Were coming from New York and prefer VIP type places so I know it sounds bad but thats what I like. Thanks in advance.
  23. In my opinion I dont know what they do but they breed some hot girls in Jersey and New York. I have friends from europe and other parts of the country who come here and have mentioned it to me . As far as Boston goes I travel up there for business and rarely see any thing halfway decent.
