rumjungle at mandalay bay was cool..played trance, house, and hip hop...was packed the night we went...there was a showtime fight earlier that night, so there were some celebrities and prof. atheletes there...next door to it is red square...vodka bar w/ lots of eye candy (for guys and girls)...heard ra was good, too...if you stay at a hotel w/ a nightclub, you can get a line pass just for being a hotel guest (you get to skip the people waiting in line)...worked out well for us at rumjungle b/c there were 80-90 people trying to get in when we got there - we showed our room key and went right in...

just wait until you're 30....

well, i like VS because i think the fabric quality is good...lasts a long time...i may try out the v-string...they do look pretty...but comfort is important to me, too...i've tried other brands of thongs and g-strings, but they weren't as comfy...

the reason is because otherwise there is no hormone given at the beginning to help suppress ovulation...the chances of ovulation happening are higher when you skip days 1-14 vs. if you skip later in the month, when there is more hormone circulating in the system...remember that during the week before day 1 of the pill, most pill packs have placebo tablets w/ no drug (if it's the 28-day pack), or if you take a 21-day pack, no tablets at all, so less drug is in the body at that time of the cycle...

i'm basing this on what i've learned and seen over the years in my clinical experience...you're right - it is important to take the pill every day...but i don't think abuglio should be alarmed because she was 2 hours late in taking her pill...the concentration of drug in her body should still be enough to work...as far as forgetting to take the pill and taking it as soon as a person remembers, along with the regular pill at the regular time that day...that is fairly common knowledge in the medical field...but remember that NO birth control method/device is 100% effective (besides abstinence)...some women get pregnant, even while taking their pills faithfully...some strengths just aren't strong enough for some women, or they metabolize the hormone more quickly than others, etc...i do have a couple interesting/funny stories concerning some patients i had and their BC pills...but don't want to bore ya'll w/ the details if your not interested...

the standard rooms are pretty nice, from what i've heard...i've also been told that the tower rooms are also newer than the pyramid rooms. the bathrooms are supposedly not very big, but that's not why you go to vegas, right? i stayed next door at the mandalay bay - beautiful hotel, but their slot machines arent loose enough. bad sign when hardly anyone is playing slots...mostly playing the tables instead...it's connected by an air-conditioned walkway to luxor...the luxor casino is fun, fun, fun! esp. had fun at the blackjack tables (won $100) and the crowd is cool...enjoy yourself and don't lose too much money...just went in june and i wanna go back!

have to admit that i feel a little intimidated about going...seems like everyone already knows each other...not to mention i saw all those asian-bashing posts on the drama board (i'm asian)...of course i realize not everyone feels that way...i guess it's just a little fear of the unknown...okay i gotta go pack now... ya'll take care now, ya hear?

that mountain cruiser tour is on the island of maui...they drive you to the top of mt. haleakala at like 2 am, so you get there right before sunrise (about 4:45 am - yes, it takes that long to get up there)...sunrise is so beautiful...but it's FREAKIN COLD up there! sure, here we are sunburned from the beach, but still freezing our asses off at the top...the main island (or at least the busiest) is oahu...honolulu reminds me of LA...waikiki beach is crowded - very commercialized...but the rest of the island outside of the city is nice...don't forget the arizona memorial at pearl harbor...if you like water sports or surfing, plenty of that to do, but be careful...the pacific is pretty rough...my husband went body surfing w/ some of his buddies in maui and some of them got cut up...waves also picked them up and SLAMMED them on the beach (i got it on video)...when are you leaving? surf the net, that's how we got a lot of our info on what to do...had to do our homework, though...we went w/ 18 of our friends and had a blast, but were glad we did some research before we went...that way we knew what our options were and didn't have to waste time trying to figure out what to do...rented a house, so that was cool...alot of tourists thought i was a local, and would ask me for directions and stuff, so that was kinda funny...if you're going to maui, let me know...i coordinated our group trip and could give you more info about maui...if you're staying on oahu, check out the internet...i heard they have some good clubs on oahu, too...two weeks - i'm jealous - i've been to hawaii twice, and still can't get enough! have an awesome trip and have a mai-tai or a lava flow for me! a hui hou... maui no ka oi

i wouldn't necessarily say that the hormone runs out right at 24 hours...esp. if you've been taking BC pills for a while...so if it's only been 2 hours difference that you take it, and you don't forget to take it on time on a regular basis, then you should be fine...the rule of thumb is that if you even forget to take a pill, take it as soon as you remember it, then take the next pill at the regular time that day, and alternative methods of birth control aren't necessary (but I would just in case-but that's me...the literature says you don't have to)...BC pills can stay in your system for a while, esp. if you've been on them for a long time...it largely also depends on which brand you take, and what the half-life of that drug is in the body...of course, you may want to take a PG test to put your mind at ease in about 2 weeks or so...but do keep in mind that one instance that you would need a back-up method (condoms, etc) is if you are taking antibiotics, whether it be for a short-term infection or even for acne...antibiotics alter the way the estrogen is metabolized, resulting in less of it in your body...therefore the BC pills may not be as effective... hope this helps
