  1. I found a few clothing websites that carry c&c shirts, but I can't find their website - do you happen to know of their address online bu any chance? I love the cut of their shirts - they make an ordinary tee look very sophisticated.
  2. They're all no talent ass clowns. I will admit that Shakira and Beyonce have wonderful voices, but their songs are horrible and J-Lo is just here to look cute, but cannot act or sing. I'm convinced that the reason J-Lo doesn't tour and do concerts is because they have to do so much to her voice in the studio to make it sound good that there's no hope for her without manipulation.
  3. Thanks! I also found this place, but Dogbar has some of the same items for a lot cheaper: http://trixieandpeanut.com/ They both have some really different and unique items though...
  4. See below - they are really good for you, 5 grams of fat is not that much (plus it's healthy fat, like what's in fish and olive oil) and they only have 55 calories. http://www.avocado.org/health/2000_118.php?sd=health
  5. When you're taking a multivitamin and your pee changes colors, it means that you're getting too much of one or more of the vitamins and instead of your body absorbing it for use, it's releasing it. Maybe try just taking the vitamins that you think you really need because if you eat well, you don't really need a multi.
  6. I'm looking for some really different and original dog collars for my new baby boy (leather, studded, plaid, cool colors, etc.) Does anybody have any cool website/store suggestions besides the obvious (PetSmart, Petco, Coach, Burberry, etc.)?
  7. Kind of corny, but easy - the Spice Girls. You all probably have something already in your closets you could wear for each one.
  8. I just got engaged a few weeks ago, so I am definitely enjoying bridal magazines and websites, but I'm not getting married until next October, so I won't step foot into a boutique for another 6-8 months, but I've gotten a lot of good ideas about what I want (plus style numbers too!) I've even found a lot of bridesmaids dresses that I like and that's fun too.
  9. Where did you find those? I really like the one at the bottom too -do you have the website by any chance? Thanks!
  10. I really do think that I will benefit from giving it up for awhile and then incorporating it back in slowly and much more healthy (i.e. 2-3 vodka or rums with diet soda vs. 6-10 beers per night.) Plus, it's time to stop putting my body (and my bank account) through so much in one weekend. I estimate that I drink anywhere from 2-30 beers a week and that is a lot of calories that my body will not be getting from now on, so I can't see it not making a difference. Plus, the only time I eat fast food or unhealthy stuff is when I'm drinking and/or hungover, so that should help too. I'm not looking at this as a diet per say, but as a healthy lifestyle change in the long run.
  11. I have come to the conclusion that my frequent drinking is the reason for the extra weight that I have. I eat very well for the most part and I try to do half an hour of light jogging a day, 5 days a week, but I feel like I'm not seeing any results. I know jogging isn't the most intense workout, but that in combination with my healthy eating habits should make a difference. So here's my question - if I completely stopped drinking for a month (which would mean eating a little better on the weekends too b/c when you're hungover all you want to eat is grease), could I see a major difference, say a loss of 10 to 20 pounds? I drink to get wasted 2-3 nights a week and just to have a few beers 1-2 nights a week, so I'm hoping it will get me somewhere. If and when I want to have a drink agian - what's best as far as low calorie, maybe vodka and diet coke? Suggestions needed, so feel free to comment.... Thanks!
  12. I honestly don't think that it's a big deal at all - they have made fishnets a little more mainstream over the past few years and I think that they come in a number of appropriate weaves and styles. Even trying tights is better than pantyhose (I know the weather isn't exactly permitting right now, but as it gets cooler.) Tights these days are made a lot thinner and come in a lot of cool colors and designs. You should be able to find a nice pair of fishnets that don't make you look like you just came from the cabaret.
  13. Anasthetic is always risky, so it's probably better not to chance it anyway if your insurance doesn't cover it. They did local on me and I was fine - the only thing that bothered me was the horrible sound and being able to see all the yucky stuff coming out. And, you're guaranteed a decent pain killer prescription since one is impacted and getting it out will cause a lot of bruising and swelling. Good luck!
  14. I know, I've heard so many horror stories about what guys do at bachelor parties with the strippers that it makes me angry and disgusted just thinking about it.
  15. Aww, and isn't it sweet that some assholes are choosing to remember this tragedy by suing companies and businesses who were just as caught off guard and lost just as much as the families of the victims. You would think after something like this, people would appreciate what life is really about and stop trying to place blame on innocent people for actions that nobody could have prevented. Greedy ass mofo's... http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2002/06/06/suits/index_np.html
  16. As long as you are eating whole grain, non-processed (i.e. not white) carbs in moderatrion you should be fine. Whole grain breads, oatmeal, rice and even pasta are all good and instead of snacking on pretzels or WOW chips, crunch on veggies w/ fat free dip or fruit. You still need some carbs in your diet or you'll be dragging ass, but there are ways to cut back a bit w/o losing them (and your energy) competely.
  17. What do you guys think about this incident (see article below)? I of course think that killing someone is a little extreme, but every article I've read on this really brushes off the fact that these kids were throwing tons and tons of tomatoes at every car that passed by. That's not a "harmless prank" - that can cause an accident, scare the bejesus out of someone, etc. I'm just sick and tired of people in America having no sense of discipline and not being punished for wrong doings. I'll say again that the boy being shot and killed is very extreme and he by no means deserved that, but I think that these boys were wrong in the first place and should not be made out to be younsters frolicking in the cornfields or whatever... http://www.msnbc.com/news/961934.asp
  18. Thanks guys, the drama has died down a bit, but I'm sure I'll have a few more "anecdotes" for you before the wedding. Stuff like my mom inviting a few of her friends I'll let slide, but I will let both my parents and his know that this is OUR wedding and we are planning it. Suggestions are welcome, but that doesn't mean that those ideas will make it to the altar with us.
  19. Thank you! I did realize that it's not a big deal for either of our parents to invite a few of THEIR friends, even though we don't know them because it's a special day for them too. Other things that my fiancee disagree with are just going to have to be graciously accepted as suggestions and then discarded.
  20. Anybody here married or planning a wedding? I just got engaged on Sunday and I explained some of me and my fiancee's thoughts and ideas to my mother and she's already giving me grief about the date and why I don't want her to invite a shitload of people that she thinks should be there that I've never even met before. I've talked to a few other people and they keep saying that if the parents (both bride and groom's) are paying, then there's really nothing you can do. I think that's BULLSHIT - it's still my and my fiancee's wedding and the parents shouldn't be paying to control it or have it their way, they should be paying because it's something nice they want to do. My mom said it's not up to just me and my fiancee to plan our wedding, but we're the ones getting married, so why should anybody else have a say?! I'm trying not to be selfish, but I really don't think I'm being unreasonable here. Anybody else ever been in the same boat? Have advice? Please share and thanks for listening to me vent!
  21. I really don't think you have a case that is going to stand up in court, the laws that you are referring to reference tenant-landlord laws that are only effective when a lease or agreement have been entered into. You admit that you've never payed rent there any way, so why should these people give a shit whether they kick you out or not, legally, there is nothing binding you to their place and they have no obligation whatsoever to allow you to stay there. Go get your belongings, get a job and find your own place - problem solved.
  22. Ok, I just read your post asking for legal advice and from the sound of your situation, probably the only thing that can be done is that the police can escort you back there and make her parents let you in to get your belongings, but since you are not on the lease, not paying rent and not being evicted by the apartment management, I really don't think that you have a solid eviction case. There is no reason why her parents can't tell the doorman not to let you in to their place if that's whose name is on the lease and who pays the rent.
