IMO it was the Billboardlive party on Friday night - the music was just so fuckin sick, and everyone in the entire place was in an awesome mood in anticipation of the coming few days. I myself was in such a good mood, just so happy to be in Miami for the WMC. I had an awesome time, if there was a downside it was the large quantity of money that I found myself without the next day... Sunday at Spin was also a great vibe, I had an awesome time. I only made it to Space once, after Spin for PVD, and it was around 6AM and I was drunk as shit, so I don't really remember how the vibe was. Music was sick tho..

Miami was so fuckin siiickkkk. Clubbed basically 4 days straight, didn't sleep much, heard AWESOME music, talked to shitloads of cool people (including Sander K and Tiesto for a while), and just basically partied my as off. Unbelievable women. Saw a whole shitload of DJ's, too many for my braindead self to list here, but did Billboard on Friday till 6:30AM (the best night) and then went to the beach, Ultra on Saturday, Lola/Spin/Space (PVD) on Sunday, and Spin on Monday before catching an early flight back to NY. So bummed to get here yesterday - the weather in Miami was perfect and then I arrive in the cold ass rain here, ugh... Had to work 12 hrs. today, which sucked ass considering how out of it I was/am still. Got lots of stories, but I am too tired to get writing. Im gonna write it all down this weekend. one thing's for sure - I know exactly where i will be in late March 2003. Hey joeg, ron (roha3k), and LM - do you remember seeing me at Space at around 7:30 AM during PVD? I barely remember, haha... - idrthrbclbng

Don't know how I'm gonna make it to work tomorrow, but fuck it... Venue: man, if i could see all my fav. DJs at a place like this, it would be a perfect world... Basically a bar with a dancefloor/dj booth downstairs, there were maybe 200-250 people there. Hung out with Timo for about 60 seconds during the opening DJ, got him to sign my copy of Mixer (with the CP ad inside). Shoestring (sp.? the opening DJ) was good - go to speak to him for a while afterwards - cool british cat, he's spinning at Crobar in Miami on Friday night... Timo totally rocked. Second time I have seen him live (Centro), but he was laying down awesome track after awesome track. Mostly his usual mixed-genre style, just good beats the whole time... some trancy, some dark & proggy, some a combination. He seemed to be in a good mood, and Kelis sang a few tunes with him also, which was alright. Left at around 1:00 - timo was still on. Being that am this wasted on a Wednesday and all, it was time to go home. Shouts to DaVe and Grey - I envy your life of clubbing for a living. Gotta get up at 6:45 for work... - see you in Miami!

When I think of the uplifting trance scene in the London, I think of a friday night party called Escape from Samsara at The Fridge in Brixton. Absolutely awesome party, unfortunately you will not find that kind of vibe here in New York... Agree with what was said above - the NY vibe is not any better or worse, its just different. VInyl has by far the best vibe in town, it's a prog vibe though (which I actually prefer). Good luck m8.
