    giambi

In an interview after the game, Jason Giambi reveiled his secret to his most recent power surge, "I actually have been playing MLB 2005 alot on my new PSP. You wouldn't think it but it really helped my swing. Maybe I'll play on my PSP instead of taking batting practice from now on" said Giambi.
  3. What was his blood alcohol content? If it was under the legal limit than he should be fine.

    Crazy!

Its gonna be a madhouse everywhere in Vegas this weekend.
  5. Yup. Were they both released, traded, burned at the stake, what's the deal with that?
  6. Actually, you guys did boo him after that loss on Tuesday night. From Yahoo Sports: Foulke allowed five runs, four hits and two walks in 1 2-3 innings and was booed after ending the ninth. ``It was a bad day of work,'' he said. ``I've always said the hardest thing is to come in here and face my teammates (rather) than worry about Johnny from Burger King booing me.'' Damn that sux, your wife getting smashed by another dude while you give up a game winning homerun. That is a bad day at work. ouch!
  7. I'll agree with you on that one. You guys paid less for your garbage.
  8. Cameron's defense is solid, I'll give you that. But he's a career .250 hitter and his numbers are terrible with runners in scoring position: low .200's Why would the Yankees trade Sheff for him? It still leaves a vulnerbility at RF. It would only benefit the Mets, IMO.
  9. Was giving you guys too much credit. Should be a 1 in front of that 9.
  10. Hahahahahahaha! And you guys had nothing for the past 9 years! hahahahaha!

    NBA draft 05

Its only a matter of time till he takes over Pierce's position. How much longer does PP have on his contract?
  12. Thats all Cameron is making? My bad, thought he was making around 10-11 a year. A's love Giambi. Would have no problem with trading him and eatin up most of that contract. But that would never happen. Bottom line is, Oakland will be looking to move Kotsay if they dont get a deal done with him extending his contract. Billy Beane loves to trade players or let players go who are in the last year of their contract. Yankees just have to come up with a good deal. Its def possible.
  13. Makes no sense for the Yankees to trade Sheff. Yeah their centerfield position will be filled but who's gonna play right? Womak? Siera? Reese? Fuck that I hope they can trade for Kotsay. He would be a better fit. Always hits for average, good singles and doubles hitter, gets on base alot, and a pretty good fielder. A kind of player the Yankees have been lacking for a while now. I'd rather have Matsui, Kotsay, and Sheff in the outfield than Matsui, Cameron, and Womak. Plus, with Kotsay at 7 million a year it's alot more attractive than Cameron's high salary.

    NBA draft 05

How Granger, Green, and Warrick dropped that far down I will never understand. Props to the teams that picked them up late round. But the def winners of the draft are the Char Bobcats. Felton + May with the 5 and 13th picks. A team with Felton, May, and Okafor will be a solid core to build around. That team will be good for the next ten years. Good for the expansion Bobcats.

    NBA draft 05

Didn't even hear his name being mentioned. I highly doubt he would go first round due to the high number of talented picks in this draft. Could be one of the deepest drafts with all the h.s. phenoms, overseas talent, 4 year seniors, and early entries. All of this shit will unfold in a few hours.
  16. Starting early this year. Portland just traded away their number 3 pick to get #6, #27, and Detroit's first round pick (from the Arroyo trade). Great deal for Portland as they get a shit load of prospects and the Jazz get what they miserably need in a talented PG, as the top 2 will be available with their pick.

    Limo service

Yeah, I have to agree with Xl8ted. Using the limo guys outside the hotels are key. Depending on what time of the night it is and where you go, you can swing a deal with the drivers. We got hooked up with a ride in an 20 passenger Excursion(only 7 of us) for $30 total at MGM. The driver we had was even able to get us treats if we needed. Now thats service. *Word to the wise, most limo services have hook ups with the strip clubs and get paid per person they drop off. So if you do use limo services you can use this to your advantage and work out a deal where you can get the ride for free or get reduced admission to the club that you are going to.

    Attn: me lol

    That edit is fuckin hilarious.
  19. And now your starting center.....STEPHON MARBURYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!
  20. Manu was clutch down the stretch. It could easily be argued that he could have shared MVP honors with Duncan.
  21. Inconsistancy is the name of the game all year so far for the Bombers. The bright side is the Muts come into town this weekend. Thank God!
  22. They just traded away their last center for Q. hahahahhahahhaa!
  23. SAN ANTONIO - A clause in the NBA's new collective bargaining agreement will likely end Allan Houston's career in New York and save James Dolan millions of dollars in the process. A person familiar with the negotiations between the league and the players' union told the Daily News the two sides are finalizing a clause that would give teams that pay the luxury tax the option of releasing one player and removing that player's salary from their luxury-tax number. The Knicks are expected to take advantage of the one-time only offer and would save approximately $40 million if they waive Houston, the oft-injured shooting guard team president Isiah Thomas has been trying to remove from the roster since last year. Houston, 34, who has played in just 70 games over two seasons because of an arthritic knee, is scheduled to earn $39.8 million over the last two years of his contract. If the Knicks cut Houston, they are still obligated to pay his entire salary, and his contract would still count against the salary cap. However, the Knicks may be $45 million over the luxury-tax threshold next season and would have to pay a dollar-for-dollar tax. By releasing Houston, who will earn $19.125 million in 2005-06, they would eliminate the same amount that Dolan, the Garden chairman, would have to pay in luxury tax. The Knicks are likely to be $45 million to $60 million over the tax threshold in 2006-07, the final year of Houston's $100 million contract. By cutting Houston, Knicks would eliminate $20.7 million from their luxury tax. "I think he's gone," said one league executive. "How could they turn that down?" Talk about a miracle.
  24. Yeah, those 1918 shirts are still going like hot cakes....weird.
