I've been in this business a long time, I've worked many doors and depending on the club you have to adjust your attitude. Your doorguy needs to know your crowd if you have a guy that knows the crowd as people come up they tend to relax and say to themselves, oh so and so is at the door, I know him or whatever. Plus it helps if your doorguy does other places, it helps people behave because if you fuck up at club a and I see you at club B your not getting in I don't need the problems. I mean if you see me at the door of Deko or Joey's you get a polite helpful non-confrontional door guy. This is the tone they want to set. Now when I'm at the door of Tempts its a little different. Tempts is more hardcore less sugar coating more lets go get the fuck in, there are NO comps, you wanna beat the line pay me, you wanna favor pay me, you want this or that pay me, you want in to the new VIP section fuck you pay me. This is the tone set due to the madness and chaos there. Well maybe I'm not that much of dick there but Tempts is a bitch to work. I don't know these guys at Euro at least I don't think so. Who are they? Where else has this guy worked the door. The bottomline with a lounge or place thats trying to be upscale or whatever you wanna fucking call it, is customer service its the single most important thing when it comes to a place like that. Now for bouncers kicking peoples asses whatever a good bouncer doesn't have to beat the shit out of people, a good bouncer just gets the problem out of the club and only beats someone down if there is no other alternative. Maybe Euro should bring me and my staff in there to run things correctly. You needs to place certain types of guys at certain types of places.

I am officially retiring from working the door at Tempts on saturday nights. The reason being I'm DJ'ing at XS every saturday this summer. I will also be spinning afterhours at Riggers. Thank You in advance for your support!

I can't speak for any night except Saturday, and to be honest I haven't been working. I have been sending a guy I consider to be very polite and professional, if you ask for Kevin at the door I'm sure you'll be treated with respect! If you have a problem with a bouncer or doorman on SATURDAY let Sergio know and I'll address the matter with the guys that work for me. Please remember, not all of the bouncers work for me, but if its a guy that does I'll take care of it ASAP!!!!!! I know I haven't been there in awhile but I think DEKO put together one of the best all around staffs ever assembled in one venue, the goes from owners all the way through to barbacks, This just my opinion. To see some of the names listed brings back some crazy memories. Its not very often that I comment on a DJ in fact I never do, because for the most part I don't KNOW shit about any of this music and really could care less about it. However, Joe has played at almost every club I work at and the response has been the same everywhere, he's great!! Joe, is a class act, he has been nothing but a great person everytime I see him. I like him so much that I'm looking into getting him to play at my favorite summer spot, as a guest DJ!!!! I think Joe is a good guy, so back up or I'll bite your face off!!!! I think these guys are a class act!!! I see this crew everywhere, and never have a problem with any of them. They always handle themselves the right way, if more peole acted like them and went out with their mindframe to just have a good time there would be a lot less bullshit to deal with, as far as people acting like assholes. The site they started as a goof, has taken off and good for them, they put the time into the site and with 300,000 hits a month I think people like. Sometimes people that wish they came up with an idea get envious of the ones that do. The only only problem with the NJGUIDO site is no pictures of my favorite night club employee T. AGRESTA, and that those t-shirts don't come in fat guy size!!! Listen fellas, you keep doing what your doing and make some scratch while your at it, after all is said an done, you'll have had a lot of free nights out, good memories, and lots of extra money in your pockets. A true VIP is far from what it was when I started in this business, they never needed a card ever for any reason. A true VIP never rolled 10 deep looking to hook his boys up. A true VIP never paid the cover. A true VIP took care of everybody with a tip. A true VIP was a person who respected the people who worked at the Club never just rushed the door , he waited till you saw him, you'd give him the wave he'd come up slip you a bill and be on his way, a true class act. Now everybody thinks their somebody. They all want in just cause they think their the shit. You never see a tip unless the lines 1,000 deep, and then its barely there. Then the cover , why would you have to pay a cover, Please some people don't have a clue. If you want to be a "REAL VIP" you go about it the right way, to many people tryin to play the roll. Ok, the funniest actually happened last friday at Joey's. three indian guys and their girls are leaving, they get to valet and the 1 guy starts fighting with his girl, the valet starts calling me at the door, so I run over there and he's kicking his girl. I grab him by his neck and throw him on the ground, as I'm holding him this other indian guy jumps on my back, I flip him over onto the hood of his car, so now I'm stepping on 1 and holding 1 on the hood of the car, this is where the last guy trys to give me a running forearm instead he catches a forearm to the chest and ends up on his ass. The funny thing is there were 6 valet guys standing there watching me, thanks for the help guys. Another time,we throw a guy out the back door of Joeys and as were going around the building he's telling us how he'll kick our ass blah blah , next thing you know he slips on some ICE and knocks himself out cold. Then there was the time a guy pulled a knife on me and as I went to take it he stabbed me in wrist, for some reason I didn't find that too funny, I lost my mind and had to pulled off of the guy by 6 cops. I have a lovely scar on wrist from that fucker. the only funny thing was he tried to come back in, like 3 weeks later.

Well, I guess I gotta say something, I do work the door there, and no I'm not the guy your all talking about. Now to the point at hand, Myself and my partner Javier run the door we are in charge of whats going on out there, if you should encounter a problem ask for him or myself and we will try to help you out. This is a new venue and we are still working the kinks out. The popularity of this venue has caused us to be a little selective on admission. We are just asking you to arrive a little early and not roll with your boys 20 deep. This is a really nice place, that can only hold a certain number of people and we want to try and avoid overcrowding and have a good balance of girls to guys. This benefits everybody!! The line sucks , I know I hate to wait on line anywhere bank, store, whatever, but we have a small entrance way and need to keep as little congestion in it as possible, so we need to "feed" the crowd accordingly. So, if you come early you will not have this problem. Now for this jerk-off, I am Great, Great at What hiding behind a screen name, and ripping people who try to make sure everybody is having a good time. Well, you cowardly bastard, say what you want about who you want but do it with a set of balls and let us know who you are. The statement that the people at the door have never done anything great is a joke, i have accomplished more at my age then some people twice my age, this a part=time thing for most of us and we do it because we like to do it, not for some ego or power trip. I'm calling you out, what makes you so great!! Punk!!!!

Besides, owning my own security company and working the door at all Sergio's parties and Tempts. I'm a Special Ed. teacher for emotionally disturbed high school kids, basically all the kids on their way to jail that the public school can't be bothered with, so they boot them out. Put this in the books, Deko has the most successful party on Sat. in NJ, hands down. This may be the hottest saturday in the last 5 or 6 years. We have our problems at Deko with overcrowding because our staff is made up of the best of the best, from promoters to bartenders, and everyone in between. So, when you have a staff like this it creates a problem at the door because everybody knows somebody. We try our best to help everybody, but its tough. Get there early and fellas don't roll 20 deep. Sorry but thats the way its gotta be , just be patient out there. I would hate to call out my alter ego "Tempts Murray" He can be such a prick!! This isn't Tempts 2 trust me I should know. The crowd may consist of some of the same people but its a totally differant vibe, dress, decor, everything. (the best looking crowd around)Deko is a unique place in itself it has a very trendy NYC lounge atmosphere with a true Jersey flavor, something that in my opinion brings together the best of both worlds. this is Jersey and as far as I'm concerned if we weren't next to NYC we wouldn't catch so much crap, our scene is always evolving and staying fresh, DEKO is a testament to that. So, if you don't like it don't come, there are 300 people that would have loved to change places with you last week! Those of you who know me know I've been at a lot of clubs a lot of years, been doing this 8 years since I was 18, and to be honest the longest running most successful parties I've worked all have one thing in common "BIG DADDY" SERGE, He is no doubt on the top of his game and has a great ability at putting together the right people, and marketing his parties. The Deko Lounge Staff is a collection of the best people in the business. This goes for everyone, owners, bartenders,promoters, support staff. everybody!! This is the saturday party of the year!!!!! I know i'm bias because I work there but if I didn't, I would hang there. Later........

The Best all-time were Beeda B and Dave the Rave, they are Legends in this game. Right now,I think SERGIO is at the top of the Game. I've been around awhile and so has Sergio he has whats called "staying power" This is my opinion, although it might be bias because he brings me and my crew with him everywhere. Thanks BIG DADDY!! The rest, Adam and Bill good job on the venues they work no doubt. Now the crew from Abyss/Deko, The people I see and work wth, you know who you are, their like a small army, not missing a beat, they have every detail cover and their everywhere its insane!!! They get the job done. Now if you look at all the best parties around right now in my opinion: Joey's friday Deko saturday they all have 1 thing in common SERGIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beeda B. This guy was a club legend, him and "The Original Dave the Rave"!!!!! These guys were unmatched they had the hottest parties no matter what!!! Their Best Party though was when I was only 18 at NEW YORK NEW YORK in elizabeth, that place was unreal!!!! SERGIO I know you remember it. Back to the names, most of the people use their real names that I know. HMMM no one calls me by my real name though, why is that? Best line of all time as far as name dropping is, Yeah, ok, we'll see if I can't get in , I know "JOEY HARRISON", this line is the best or any line with that name in. Those of you who know, know!! The Decor is second to none, and the staff consists of some of best in NJ. I'm sure opinions will vary but I work at these places, so shameless promotion is a must. Seriously, these parties should be among the best around this year make sure you check them.

First of all, The Mayor of Seaside doesn't have anything to do with any of the clubs in Seaside at all, so Laurie your source or facts are wrong trust me. Secondly, We (Tempts) have been raided before and will be again I'm sure. Its part of the business and is something you deal with. The Police have had undercover people in clubs for a few years now, they watch people get the info on who's who and then raid the club concentrating on those people and the information they collected. Merge was 1st this time and next time it'll be some one else's turn. You people read into things too much and its pretty obvious most of you are new to the scene, who believe these rumors. The Police have a job to do just like you and me so just go with flow. Anyway only a few weeks left enjoy yourself where ever you go, and if your doing nothing wrong then let them raid away you'll have nothing to worry about. P.S.
