  9. Me me me!! When I was a teenager, I babysat once for Matt McCoy, the brother of a family friend and a B-movie actor famous solely for Police Academy and The Hand that Rocks the Cradle with Rebecca DeMornay who starred in Risky Business with Tom Cruise. Tom went on to such stellar films as The Color of Money with Paul Newman. Paul recently starred in Road to Perdition with Tom Hanks, who as we all know, was in Apollo 13 with. . . Kevin Bacon! I have *always* wanted to do that! 'stina

  13. Nice! *edit* : here's another good bill in the House right now, although a vote on it was delayed in the hopes that the "private sector" (webcasters and recording industry) can work out an agreement. . .we shall see. H.R.5469 Sponsor: Rep Sensenbrenner, F. James, Jr. Latest Major Action: 9/26/2002 Referred to House committee. Status: Referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary. Title: To suspend for a period of 6 months the determination of the Librarian of Congress of July 8, 2002, relating to rates and terms for the digital performance of sound recordings and ephemeral recordings. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This would basically put off from Oct. 20 to April 20 *heh heh* the decision to charge webcasters royalty fees for each song played. . .would save a lot of great web stations.
  14. It's hilarious that you said that -- I was hanging out by the pool in front of the Capitol building last Saturday afternoon. A tourist was walking by, stumbled on the sidewalk, and fell down pretty hard. Some idiot with a camcorder said "Look at that! The sidewalk is uneven! I should talk to an attorney about this!" And he proceeded to videotape the .25 inch rise in the sidewalk from all different angles like he was freakin' Steven Spielberg or somethin'. . . .sheesh!
  15. What about this?

  18. Maryland man distributed 50,000 Ecstasy pills By the Associated Press Published October 2, 2002 ALEXANDRIA, VA. -- A man convicted of selling 50,000 Ecstasy pills in nightclubs in the Washington, D.C., area was sentenced Tuesday to a year and a day in prison, the U.S. attorney's office said. Officials said Jason Alan Fox, 25, of Germantown, Md., confessed to distributing the hallucinogenic drug. He received between 2,000 and 4,000 pills a week from New York and sold them at clubs in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., and in northern Virginia parking lots and homes, they said. Four other Ecstasy dealers arrested in Loudoun County cooperated with police, leading to Fox's arrest.
