  1. Thankx miguel aka mp3 for those words. Now I'm all nervous and shit.... jeje. Got to back up what you said. Really excited to play. Haven't played a headlining set since I was back in our hometown of Caracas in July!!! Hope to see lots of cp's there.
  2. If you want to hear that Phil W. remix of Play the Game.... come to Luna Saturday night for P.M. Sessions party. I will play it for shure. Youll hear plenty of acidic, techy, screwed-up, bassy, fun-to-dance- to twisted house. peace, Oscar.

  4. cd is great... got it as a gift from lee while listening to him in orlando. Much better than the cd is what he plays live...even though he did play a bunch of the recs. on the cd. More impotant than the actual records is the risk he takes in putting them together. If you pay attention... he fades in and out of records in unusual ways. Never settles for the average transition. That's the beauty of it.... unpredictable.
  5. exactly...what type of house does he play... derrick carter, mark farina type of stuff...? chicago stuff....?west coast... ? tech house? please let me in on this.. thanks..
  6. His last set at Nerve was inspiring. Really happy to open for him that day...too bad I had to leave early.
  7. nope..... Lee is not coming to miami for Halloween. Spoke to him and he said he would like to spend his birthday back in london...it falls right on halloween.... yes....it sucks.. hope we can have him soon again. peace... Oscar.

wish i could be there....got class on sat. morning. peace...
  11. Got there around 11:30 after being pulled over by the cops rushing to get there on time. No cover, 4 dollar drinks, and my favorite dj playing a 2.5 hr set.... priceless. So I got there with 2 peeps and at first it was kind of strange. The place looked more like a bar, the cowd didn't seem music oriented at all. The sound was terrible, lights were horrible and with nobody controlling them... it just seemed weird. I was expecting more of an Icon type of thing. Dj. Nightlife on the tables playing a descent set of tribal, tech house and progressive house then suddenly Lee steps into the booth around 12:05 and the whole club suddenly changes mood completely. The dancefloor fills with about 100-130 peeps or so who obviously are there for him. Everybody cheering, applauding, whistling... and he hasn't even dropped the first track. Nightlife leeves the decks with that Tango & Cash record and Lee steps in and drops a signature Tyrant track that starts w/ breaks then a dub/reggae vocal comes in and.... its showtime folks. The whole place completely changed atmophere. Dancefloor was hot all night...people very knowledgeable of what he was playing. Thought he played a more experimental set when he was here at Nerve. For some reason he played housier at Orlando and more minimal at nerve. Many of his signature tracks and some of his unreleased material he has been hammering. He played only about 4-5 five breaks records all night...but off course top notch stuff. The club ambience was so relaxed at all times, no door hassle, no bouncer/security guard hassle, no dj. booth hassle, everything felt more town like....very cool. The beauty of smaller venues! You could walk in and out of the dj. booth at all times, Lee was in a great mood, dancing, joking around with the crowd, shaking hands, and writting autographs basically 90% of his set....much more at home than here in Miami. Ended the night with some cool breaks records and music seized at 2:40. We drove back and got home before sunrise. What a night!
  12. wish i could be there jimmy... but i have class sat. morning. have a good one... that booth is no joke! peace, Oscar.
  13. Kickin' party last night. Too bad I missed Dave's set...heard it rocked. Overall everything seemed to be in it's right place. Music, sound, energy, vibe, and crowd. Everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest explaining how this party has the right formula. Cianci and Avila played a great set... I have to give credit where it's due... last night they hit the right keys and delivered a wicked bassheavy chunky breaks and prog house set. Very well played in deed. Congrats guys. Overall.... great event! No doubts about it. Good to see all the knownfaces that make up this little cozy movement growing in Miami. Peace..
  14. I think Miami is going through a transition a where clubbers are separating into different groups, people who go out for the music, and people who go out for the club and are happy as long as there is music. For instance, nobody I know now goes to Space anymore unless its a huge event. People are tired of the same music and seek out for something with more taste, and go out somewhere where you can enjoy good music, see some known faces without having to be all fuc%ed up. Thats the beauty of a knowledgeable group of music listeners...they just need music and dancefloor and they will enjoy themselves and go home happy w/o having to spend the big bucks, go through door hassles, etc.. So anywayz... People are enjoying the small intimate settings that they can visit weekly without no prob., "where everybody knows youre name Cheers type of thing". So keep the basslines rolling into the small venues, its the best thing for the scene music-wise..... and watch Miami become a music-oriented city (which is the only thing that D'js world-wide critisize about mia.).
  15. A night not to miss. I caught Ali playing a bunch of times up in Boston. Have also seen him play at my friend's houses in numerous petite commite after-parites ala Boston sytle. Cool sound, techy, proggy and very serious. Glad he joined the Pm family cause he's no joke of a Dj. Like I said..very serious, very established... shure to rock the floors at Luna. Can't wait.
  16. thanks... I will def. be playing more of a home set instead of a dancefloor set. Bring out all the stuff you usually leave at home. Expect lots of breaks, dub, minimal- electroie stuff, and just plain and simple funked-up breaky house. Can't wait.
  17. Mustafa.... Frownferbishna.... austin powers 1?
  18. Happy b.day Isabella! Hope you had a good one... sounded like you guys had a blast! I got your'e email...thanks for writting. I'm getting the info. you need ready, I'll send it to you this week. Hope your'e all doing well down there... peace.. Oscar. Chau...
  19. Really enjoyed his set last night.....allthough like others...was expecting something a bit different. Thought he started off hot and slowly started getting colder with his mixing, attitude etc.. I just think he wasn't really up for it...seemed a even a bit tired. Still a night with a different twist, and better than the usual night in miami..specially music wise.. Enjoyed most of the tracks and found his set very original.... very unique brand of tech house and house. Hope he can make it back soon.....or more oftenly at least.
  20. will there be a guest list? thanx... Oscar.

  22. Lee Burridge Craig richards Josh wink Danny h. Zabiela
  23. This shouldn't be that tough of a decision. Both styles are completely different. If you are a person who goes to a club entirely for the music ..then this decision shouldn't be that hard. You either like a more banging comercial sound.... or a not as banging more experimental one. Fontaine= banging house+techouse+progressive+ even a bit of trance...more predictable type of tunes..etc Burridge= twisted funky house+techouse, breaks, etc... more umpredictable type of set. 2 complete different choices... any of them could be good.... It all depends on your taste. I would skip crobar ...and head for nerve for sure.
