Yeah Mariah's song is great .... and Aguilera has an uptempo song (almost dance beet) of a Christmas song they are playing a lot --- that is definitely cool too! Also, that Lean Womack (is that how you spell her name?) that is getting a lot of airplay with the full orchestra --- that must be going multiplatninum this christmas (isnt it a new song?).

For Garden of Eden: we can get you in on fridays for free (assuming no change in formats by promoters in January)... door operations ARE a bit "strange" @ Garden ... fridays you need to come alone or come in a group of more women then men to gain faster entry (sort of typical now around town). Trance is hard .... definitely best deep house we've heard is @ Arena on Fridays (mostly asian crowd), cover, no promoter. You might want to try the new Hacienda we have listed on the weekends. For HipHop --- hardcore hiphop try Shy Shushi, even Joya in Beverly Hills. Mainstream hiphop try Dorscia on Saturdays (esp in VIP lounge if you can sneak in). Understand, promoters are switching venues and formats w/ their djs in January, so always check in advance for changes. Hope this helped.

Generally (but not always) the cheapest are Hertz with the AAA or Thrifty or Dollar. T & D usually only are cheap at LAX or your local airport. (Think either T or D takes Costco as a discount also). To hang out in Vegas on Saturday, of course hit RA @ Luxor. Here's the 4-1-1 for RA (we sometimes have RA events on LALate because the caliber of talent is great): "Saturdays — House Music and Hip-Hop with Resident DJ Duane King, John Kamahele, Warren Peace, and Mr. Bob"... there is no special event planned @ RA this Saturday so they will stay with this usual format. (Sorry dont know cover, it must be around $20). For other websites .... hit the hotel websites and then look for the club section ... like studio54 @ the MGM .... etc etc. You can hit anything from MGM to Lxuor in one night of walking (but it may be a cold walk) Enjoy. Oh my... the Mayan is sooooo incredible. It's such a unique venue, so beautiful, and so different. If could change anything about the Mayan would change the fact that they dont leave open tabs at the bar. Such a great venue!

Will keep eyes open ......places that have 18+ permitting (meaning, no upper age limit) that have to be having NYE events are the club next to Garden of Eden on Hollwood Blvd, the club on melrose few doors before Belly, Blue on Las Palmas .... until we find something, you might wanta scour for those venues cuz they gotta have something going down thats 18+.

Hmmm.... Would a 18-21 club work for you, or do you need 18 and over? 18+ is usually club bang and such .... 18-20 is club one seven.....

Actually, never been there. (Although referred a ton of people there). And don't know really anything about the interior of the venue. Do know that tomorrow its M Wyatt and guest dj .... so thinking that means maybe two rooms dj'd? or are they taking turns? If its two rooms, that might be even worse. Sorry dont know more.

Here it's city licensing. One venue on one block could be 2 am and one across the street might be grandfathered to 3 am.... then like any city, downtown areas can stay open later (again, if they pass permitting). Then there are certain rules for restaurant with bars. Then there are rules about how much money can come from alcohol sales out of total net receipts. And more and more. Giant is open late. (Have their email but can't find it .... sign up for the mailing list; they'll send you the info.) But Giant is downtown .... (I assume you know that downtown LA is not New York ... early in the morning in LA it is very very hard to hail a cab ... but you can certainly telephone for one).
