  1. lets put money on it! no cheating (with plastic surgery)! lol just kiddin!
  2. we have club ra information every other week approximately.
  3. I would have put the LA tanning week right before the Hot Body Week --- so you try to get your patrons all tan one week and showing it off the next week and the venue again lol j/k So is the hot body contest for girls and guys? How about a team competition? lol. I think all the nightlife organizers in town should get their guestlists and referrals together in a team competition hot body contest and see which organizer has the hottest guestlist team! How cool what that be?! lol
  4. Although it's on the list of things to do, never been. But know it's absolutely craa-zay. $$$ cover but a lota fun.

  6. Well, I LIKED dana farber's bat mitzvah back in 8th grade .... that party was the bomb! it was jamming .... slam dancing in the back room, mosh-pit in the front, bodyshots, 1/2 priced drinks, free giveaways, the DJ was burning up the tables.... just kidding lolll !!!l
  7. is that the one on ocean park? if so, is the food good? and is the happy hour good? never tried that, always wanted to.
  8. VENUE: Warehouse Party LOCATION: Marina Del Rey PROMOTION: None Decor: 10. wow. Goregous space for this one time party. People/vibe: 4. people are nice, but not enough of them, and bad ratios Parking: 10. Right on the street Cover: $15-$20, depending on who u knew. A one time party --- called what, no clue --- about what, no clue -- for what, no clue --- greatest music heard in ages (just exceptional) --- the space was great. Just needed more people.
  9. There are a lot of really cool parties the next week --- this Saturday is an unusual dj'd warehouse party on the westside. Pm me for details.
  10. Hey welcome newbie. Also if we are on the subject of tacos without discounts (ok, watch me rush to buy a taco right now) hit up the restaurant next door to the Mayan -- open late.... and their tacos are double padded, really two tacos in one --- super super super good. And staff is greatttttttttt. Ole!
  11. The promoter I was referring to runs a different Saturday morning event at AD then the one posted above.
  12. LALATE === the king of the $1 taco night! lol
  13. Congrats on the one year anniversary! It's funny, it seems all my friends in LA nightlife - type thangs started in 2002.. the spring ... the fall..... or the summer. What a great year it must have been for LA. One more year of this with better venues, LA is going to be #1 ! Keep up the great work. Congrats on the one year birthday (you don't look a day over three months old .... j/kiddin )
  14. i agree with you homie lol. Highlands on Hollywood which our subscribers luved --- let's just say, that night, clothing was practically optional lol! That did well. Another time, we pushed a Playboy bed party @ Garden last year .. they had a friggen BED on the street there with red carpet -- the people luved it and were salivating .... That did well (but was free and catered so that helped.) But, we pushed a pajama party south of marina del rey that same time. No one wanted it. It just depends. (Well, off to hit the gym, here, to win that hotbody contest on May 29! Cabo here we come!)
  15. Tribal House was strong a few months ago ... slowly down again in the track format at venues as R&B picks up speed with crossover tracks.
  16. fyi lapromoter --- the May 22 one sounds very good. Clubgoers generally dont go to a venue cuz of themes (although we personaly think they are cool, esp if you got great artwork in the mailers).... the draw is generally the venue (which you got) or the giveaways (like on May 22 for example) or the product launches (album releases, etc.) Keep up the good work. Send us the info - info@lalate.com
  17. welcome. it's a great board, nice people, and the greatest moderator! Check out the Club Review section Weyes and I started ... if you go to a venue, post a review so we can all know if it's great or not. Give as much insight as possible. Peace
  18. Jeff --- Congrats on the number of heads. Great job. (If you aren't at capacity, and want us to increase the numbers for you, drop us a note because no one comes close to our database for LA. Send us your info (events, etc.). We do have Sunset Room Sat and Garden of Eden Thurs already covered ... but let's talk more.) Take care. info@lalate.com
  19. afterhours (sat morning) - str8, no alcohol, expensive, pretty people
  20. Be sure you send us your complete info. Thanks. Peace. info@lalate.com LALate.com
  21. fyi ... AD is totally different weekdays v. weekends (yesssss super long lines) v. afterhours. stock exchange == heard that ages ago about being empty.
  22. Page 1 and Page 2 of this thread has your info.
  23. Can you send us your info for your events. Thanks. info@lalate.com.
  24. VENUE: HIGHLANDS LOCATION: HOLLYWOOD N HIGHLAND COMPLEX NIGHT YOU ATTENDED: SAT PROMOTION: YES Decore: Downstairs - 8. Nice, Pleasant Back Room - 9: Very Nice. Good Flow. Lots of Couches, Pillows, Classy Bar, etc. Upstairs (Loggia) - 10. Really v beautiful (v expensive construction and decore but oddly v v cheap landscaping/plants). People: Packed Packed Packed downstairs (overcapacity? maybe?) Parking: 10! Very easy! 4 hours for $2 (after that about $1 per 20 minutes) Cover: yes Best Thing: People clearly were there to have fun. Worse Thing: Too crowded at one point and too many people that accidentally (not intentionally) pushing, tripping, etc. on the dancefloor. Also -- the absence of just the main exit way when on the first floor makes u feel sort of clostraphobic when u are in the back room with a packed crowd. Would you go Back: Yes Yes Yes! The addition of caponies outside --- wonderful! Generally, really quite surprised is was this good. Music was A+ (top 40 hip hop, power 105.9 hip hop, one area techno). People were great because clearly there to have fun ... very good cross section of people - some v good looking, no one really ugly. If you go --- give help to the staff (which is v nice and excellent) to point out the people with drinks on the dancefloor --- drinks are not allowed on the floor and rightfully so. Enjoy.
  25. simply no place to park. $10 is too much. No street parking. And the $5 lots didnt look safe.
