  1. Vimana - We Came (Tiesto&Ferry Corsten Mix) a team that never shouldve broken up.
  2. The site is up again. Maybe it was something on my end.
  3. Has anyone else had problems accessing the website? It's not loading up. Also, I noticed posts about $1.99 sales on vinyls? Could this be a sign of things to come (ie. closing down).
  4. DJ Krush - Only the Strong Survive
  5. Amber - Above the Clouds (Brian K and Sal Dano's Hard Dub Mix) what a buildup towards the end....memories....
  6. Victor Calderone - Beat Me Harder
  7. New Jersey's Anything Box was one of my favs. They entered the scene a little late. They had a single out "Living In Oblivion." Unreal New Wave at its best, at least for a US based group considering the scene was dominated by Europeans.
  8. Rock & Soul in the city on 36th or 37th st. and 7th avenue. They charge $500 for new ones but if you need more equip, they'll give you a decent deal on the whole package. If you live in/near the city, it beats paying for shipping.
  9. Nice selection, esp the Maroda vinyls and GTO! Like the sampling of 'resistance is futile.'
  10. I have yet to hear of a place that plays trance, if any, on Friday OR Saturday nite. Unless, there's a European trance act or (ie. DuMonde, AVB, Ferry, Tiesto, or any US-based trance DJs) most, let's say all, clubs do not cater to it. Personally, I'd rather have some good pumpin trance to hear at least at one spot during the weekend. Matter of fact, other than John Vicious, I cant think of one NYC DJ that plays trance in their sets.
  11. When in Rome remix is off da hook. Cant find it anywhere, Resurrection records is sold out. Any1 know where to find it?
  12. you got some good taste. gotta love the santana mix from 2002 but IMO not as good as the 1997 hani mix. as for my pic, victor calderone - 'beat me harder' john creamer - 'lift up the needle'
  13. E.N.E.R.G.Y. - 'Desire' some good ole Airwave production.
  14. couldnt with you more. Andre produces quality trancehouse music.
  15. Good choice, nothing like pure quality german progressive trance. One of my fav production teams. Still bangin out to Lasgo - 'Alone' (Hiver and Hammer Mix)
  16. Didnt get a chance to go, but from the reviews, DuMonde was okay. Im surprised they didnt build up a good set or maybe they did? Considering they are hard trance DJs they might have started out with some, for lack of a better phrase, "lighter hard trance" traxx and built it up from there. Unfortunately, its hard to tell because NYC is not exposed as much to the hard trance music esp with European DJs so to say they played hard stuff all nite is understandable because hard trance DJs as the name would imply dont start out with uplifting or even soft trance music. I dunno just my 2 cents. For one thing, I did see Cosmic Gate in Montreal and similar to Dumonde, they started out hard. I just the style of their sets. Being a DJ myself and spinnin a good amount of hard trance, the genre can have difft levels of hardness if you know what I mean.
  17. Does anyone know any vinyl shops that sell old 80's/early vinyls of the 'New Wave' type? Depeche Mode, Cure, Anything Box, Red Flag, etc is what really got me into dance music as a kid. I'd like to build up some oldies in my collection.
  18. Wow, thats a name I havent heard in a while....what is he up to these dayz?
  19. 'Memory' then the synths creep...... curious to hear what traxx they lay down....they gotta drop some of their older productions
  20. Aphrohead- 'In the Dark We Live' Aphrohead - 'Legion' David Morales - 'In de ghetto' The Boss - 'The Congo' Full Intention - America
  21. Good to see so many replies to this thread. It shows there's a big trance following in NYC, though wish Trance acts would headline more of the major clubs in the city. Regardless, cant wait to see Dumonde:hoparound
  22. I agree about the time slot for Dumonde. As Dave said, I hope that's just a tentative schedule. Regardless, I'll show my support for them. Still can't believe this will be the first visit to NYC. Always wondered why they didnt make it over here sooner, esp in 1998-2000 when their productions were out of this world. Just hope they lay down some of their older productions and remixes: 'See the Light' 'Adelante' 'Sexomatic' Lange's 'Tomorrow' and 'Memory' Especially 'Saxuality' and 'Insanity'
  23. It was my 3rd time seeing him and you know what....I LIKED HIS SET, THE VIBE, AND I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. Cmon guys what'd you expect a normal, not so crowded nite?! It's Tiesto, the #1 DJ IN THE WORLD! And you know what, who cares if alot of the people didnt know shit about Tiesto. Just as long as I got the enjoy the $30 I paid to see him and dance my ass off. Also, I like Avalon, the fact that I could dance about 15 feet away from him on the balcony is alot better than being a stadium-like place like Exit (or Black whatever it's called these days). About the trainwrecks?! I didnt hear one or maybe I was just trying to have fun and enjoy the nite like any Tiesto fan would do. I can understand where every1 is coming from, but personally, I dont focus too much on the negatives, rather just enjoy myself and hear the music I love. Though it wouldve been great if I caught one of the 2 vinyls that he threw out in the balcony section I was at. He signed them too. More importantly, I got to spend the nite with my girl and have fun before she heads out of the country. It looks like she'll be seeing him in Berlin in early July...lucky her. Anyways, so far these are the tracks (not in any particular order) I could remember him spinnin. I'm sure he played some traxx from his 'Just Be' album, but I havent bought the 4 colored vinyls yet...soon...Any1 feel free to add... William Orbit - Adagio for Strings (Tiesto Mix) Tiesto feat BT - Love Comes Again (Mark Norman Mix) Saltwater - Legacy (Alphazone Mix)**my best track of the nite...this had me going** Mike Robbins - Are you a Freak (Marcel Woods Techtrance Mix)
