  1. well, let's see---- i may or may not be a genius, but FIRE CODE VIOLATION # 1: Don't put electrical wires in pipes that are FLAMABLE!!! (and this is just the beginning) Do your homework peepz! See you all in the mean time...
  2. The word on the street is that Space 34 suffers from massive fire code violations and will not open for at least another 2 months... I guess WMC is out of the question. All you people think you are so knowledgable, why don't you fill us in... Poor Louis must be PISSED that he could not slither his way out of this one !!!
  3. as to the new space being the 'undisputed # 1' - i just want to be the first to dispute that. the feel of the REAL space will never be matched by the new one. the new space, space 34, is nicer without a doubt, classier i should say, but what most of the people that were really out partying at the orig. space loved it for its darkness and the fact that it wasn't a "pretty club" (i.e. just a place to be seen) and it was about.....MUSIC. period. unfortunately the vibe has been dwindling for a long time at the orig. space, I'll be the first to say that i miss it...those dark nights in the blue room vip in the first year- untouchable, crazy, & unforgettable- but as they say, all good things come to an end. i think the new space will be catering to the beach crowd more than the serious spacers, trying to make it more crobar/opium like in its appearance, but of course will have bad ass dj's to boot. will be nicer, but i don't think better... PS- the maze flyer thing sounds EXACTLY like an LP move ! Hey, at 5 cents a pop, i'll start printing them myself and even deliver them to him
  4. I am suprised that none of you bothered to make it to Level to check George out there. Level with George kicking it with a couple thousand people was much more impressive than last weekend at Spin. Don't get me wrong, it was good. But a 25,000 square foot main room and the best laser system in miami, plus george, was a blast. Spin is cool with George there, certainly more Shodow Lounge-ish than Level, but I think a dj rocking a big house is better than a little house. And New Year's Eve was a very sad night there at Spin with barely anyone showing up, it's a good thing I loved the music, also Eddie G that closed for George on NYE was spinning an awesome set. We'll see, i hope that one good weekend out of 4 is good enough to kick Spin in the right direction from here on out...Glad to hear some of you still like trance out there --------------------------------------------- Let all of you remember some facts: SHADOW LOUNGE + GEORGE ACOSTA= # 1 Don't fucking forget it!!! YEAR ONE @ Space +TRANCEMISSIONS+EDGAR V= Off the fucking chain awesome time! Space will never be the same The best dj's in the world are of course.....TrAnCe DjS...go figure, after all Trance rules the world And for you Danny Tenaglia, I have a suprise.. House Music
  5. George always brings an energy that has been constant and strong for some time. He has a great local following, stronger than any other local dj that I can think of. Spin and Acosta make a good combination, the sound system is superb and it's nice to be in a club and up close and personal witht he dj as he spins. Should be a good night for a long time...
  6. Welllll, let's see here...Paul Oakenfold likes Spin more than Space because Space can be a scary place when you can't fill it, hint hint... Space is a wierd site with one of the biggest dj's there and no crowd. Tiesto on the other hand, I have not seen or heard him mention Spin in any articles probably for the lack of looking for something. All in all, certainly a cheap marketing tactic !
  7. I have to agree with oscar- everybody does need to put their $$$ where their mouth is- edgar is the shiznit, go support him, spend some cash and louis will have him there as much as all of you want on that one condition. those trancemission nights were some of the craziest and best times i have had in this city, and there were not really any nights that i missed with edgar at the helm. and yes, i prefer edgar over tiesto, money irrelevant we got your back edgar....time to crank it up again:2guns:
  8. funny how things are. i was told by louis p. that "trance is dead," i'm glad i don't listen to or believe eveything people say... God bless edgar, george and padilla...(not to mention their many european counterparts) we want more more more ! ! ! i have always loved space, and it has always been the shiznit, but without edgar, it just isn't same (...year 1...) you agree????
  9. yes, many thanks to biz and louis. desyn was good, but ivanno tore that place up! one of the most fun nights i have had at spin for sure...
  10. PS- george is spinning there on Nov. 23, Dec. 14, & new years
  11. yeah, mrmatas, i hear you about that, it was not packed for wag, but the busiest nights are the 'regular' nights with acosta or eddie g- last saturday, for george's bday (slammed and VIP for the most part sold out in the main room even with tiesto at space/LP's bday), etc. it has stayed pretty busy there all summer at least on saturdays. really the only place to go for something other than house to dance your ass off to. trance is still alive in miami...
  12. well if anyone went inside level last saturday, you would have found all the people who were NOT at space. capacity at level with a few hundred in line at 2am, with eddie g spinning. and one thing u can always count on, george will bring a crowd time and time again, he makes miami look good to the rest of the world whether you like level or not
