  1. or how bout this for starters that a serious thread on a club messageboard gets less read then a nonsense topic. Shows ya what the mindset of certain people are. Yeah i didnt mean only vinyl and stuff like that i meant complete sales, yes i get stuff for free, cds, promos, and i thank everyone who gives or sends me something. But theres also a lot of stuff that comes out that i have to buy cause i want the complete package of vinyl or cd, as well as digitally download certain songs from certain websites for a small price.
  2. So many obligations have kept me away. But i was at dts party at show a few months back and you werent there lol.
  3. Heres a link to a thread i start about cielo on nye: http://bbs.clubplanet.com/showthread.php?t=291595 I was there last yr from like 1am till about 6am b4 goin to shelter and it was a bit mixed up with tourists some cielo regulars some house heads and people just having fun. Wasnt a bad experience at all.But this yr with tedd patterson playing on that night i know about 20 or 30 of my peeps will be there representing and hearing his music.
  4. Or how about the song that first got me into house music in 1990 "TEARS". See thats a song that is perfect on how house music use to have emotional songs and meaning, unlike some of this other shit thats being sold as "VOCALS". And then my fave is when a fan hears some dj use an accapella over a track and instantly thinks thats the track they have to run and download and when they get it, is probably the wrong name anyhow. The best thing to do is something like what westendrecords.com does, it allows you to download tracks from thier website for 99 cents to like 1.99 .
  5. this is a completly different arguement i think, and i def know where your coming from. Lots of times i would like for him to just let it go.Alot of fans adn djs sometimes thinks he over does it, so do i but i also like hearing him do it as well. But i dont think you can deny that hes not into his sets.
  6. cielo is come as you are dress on mons and weds, and for certain sun parties like the monthly fresh fruit party. Thurs, fri, sat sometimes i much harder to get into, and depending on the dj the crowd will sometimes have some serious househeads with bottles n models, but that doesnt stop them from dancing somehow. Somehow that rooms make alot of people dance. Again i recommend checkin out TEDD PATTERSON monthly vibal party there on sats, and check out dj WILLIE GRAFF when he plays. Luckily they both will be playing together on nye for 12hrs for 50bucks.
  7. Theres an old saying that good music comes and goes but great music never fades. Its part of the conversation that the quality of some of the music that is out tehre now adays isnt really that good. How many tracks can you name that have come out that will be endured and played in 15 yrs or so and looked back with a wow that was such a great song then and influential and still sounds good now. PLay a song at a party like DEEP DISH "FLASHDANCE" and people will be like oh wow yeah that songs old, some will say sounds ok, some will say im tired of it. But play a classic from later 80's like ROYAL HOUSE "CAN YOU PARTY" and watch how the floor goes crazy.
  8. very memorable but i forgot alot of it lol. And kats i know what you mean.
  9. lol i remember me and him talking bout this party about a month ago and it suprised me that he didnt make a countdown thread then.
  10. I guess ya missed all the times danny t dances and spins like a madman in the booth. I guess im quite the opposite from you like i personally think its nothing big if a dj jumps up and down the whole night and throws his fist in the air type of thing. I like to see the dj move and shake likes hes dancing and not just being excited. Im not doubting the excitement that the djs are feeling with their own personal style of interaction with the crowds in front of them but its all upto what each individual thinks of that djs interaction with him or her. Same goes with musical tastes, read every review of parties, some like the songs, some hate the same songs, some thinks the djs were boring others think the djs were great, crowd sucked others loved the crowd. And joe claussell isnt looking up as if hes prasing god, hes feeling the music and letting the music take control of his whole body which to me looks more than just some dj smiling and pumping his fist. here another video of him its about 30mins long though. http://www.garagefamily.net/video/Joe_Claussel_Mavù_16-07-2005.ram And here you go EDGE007: Ive basically posted these b4 on other threads but if anybody has more video clips do share. Enjoy: Louie vega http://snshousemix.free.fr/movies/lvega_101004_shiny_noxxy.mpg Kerri Chandler http://snshousemix.free.fr/movies/kerri_c_060305_shiny_noxxy.avi Joe Claussell http://www.housemusicforum.com/video/MOV06300.MPG heres ROBERT OWENS singing and spinning at a club in OSLO NORWAY on sat june 25h,2004. My g/f can be seen holding up her phone while i was on the other line in brooklyn during his perfomaqnce of "I GO BACK" http://www.soulmovement.net/gallery/robertowens1.mov heres an older one of tony humphries last yr around sept in italy http://www.housemusicforum.com/video/Sicily_Tony.mpg heres another one of joe claussell its bout 30mins long: http://www.garagefamily.net/video/Joe_Claussel_Mavù_16-07-2005.ram
  11. damn straight been counting down the days to this date.
  12. Awesome post, i also think the problem with songs today are the vocals tracks they all follow a similar formular now adays and sound like water down stuff. Souless singers is what im trying to say.
  13. Maybe prices would be lower at parties if some djs were able to make a living off of their productions/cds if people would purchase them and not steal them, as well as their gigs. Who knows.
  14. damn havent been to a babylons in awhile. And damn again wurd the sully people party, hmmm.
  15. damn someone who SCREENS MUSIC for a dj, thats some shit lol. What if the screener is pissed at his dj boss and chooses shitty tracks.
  16. I know for me this is what i like to see in a dj: posted this video b4 but still wanna share it on this board again. http://www.housemusicforum.com/video/MOV06300.MPG
  17. cielo to me is the perfect club. Not really a fan of waxman but am curious as to what he would play in that room. Tedd pattersons monthly party called VIBAL at cielo is a party i recommend everyone to check out. And thier usual resident dj on fris willie graff is great as well as the other resident and part owner nicholas matar. Cielo on mon nights and weds nights is no joke either those parties are something out of this world. As for pacha have no comment, i was at SOL for the made in italy event and that was banannas.
  18. Looks like on new yrs eve i will be at cielo from sat10pm till sun10am, then heading off to Shelter until about 4pm and i guess take a rest b4 718 sessions at 6pm.
  19. Was having a conversation a few mins ago and this topic came up, what do you guys think. Like in most music genres it seems alot more fans are willing to buy the music they like while here in the house scene it seems every fan wants the songs for free and even some djs dont even buy their stuff (im not talking about big name djs of course). DISCUSS:
  20. only club iwas never let into was CAIN on a weds night. I feel honored that detroit doesnt get let in places where i can skip the lines, woohoo.
