  4. ClubShelter 15 Years Strong! It's a simple formula that has not changed since 1991. "If the music is good, they will come back". Well, they have been coming back for almost 15 years now. And the music is as good as it ever was. The underground party at ClubShelter will reach the 15 year mark in 2006. The trends in the club scene have come and gone by the dozens. ClubShelter has endured and although the address has changed over these 15 glorious years, the menu has remained unchanged, the best deep house around. To maintain a party or anything for that matter for 15 years is truly commendable. So you can imagine the party at ClubShelter all these years is very, very special. For those who are not familiar with Shelter, we are a collage of various faces, all brought together by the love of good music. There are the "Heads", the backbone of the party and our most devoted. There are the "Newbies", who have become a part of our family over the years. All are part of what makes the "Shelter" an experience. We also realize that this would not have happened without your love and support for what we do. A huge thank you to the "Heads", the "Newbies" and all those who helped make us the party we are today. We are extremely grateful and hope to make the next few months leading up to our anniversary well worth the patronage you have given us. Last but not least, start making your plans to join us for ClubShelter 15th Anniversary Party South, Miami, WMC, Monday, March 27, 2006 which will be followed by ClubShelter 15th Anniversary Party North, NYC, Saturday April 22, 2006. More reasons for you to have you current membership card on hand. We had a monster anniversary last year and we are going to do even better this time. So mark these dates down and look out for additional event updates from ClubShelter, 15 Years Strong! Sincerely, The ClubShelter Family -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for 15 years of Love and Support, Clubshelter - New York City Heres pictures from last yrs 14 yr party : http://clubshelter.com/images/14th/index.htm I remember last yr they had 2 floors of music playing with so many great djs (john cutler, frankie feliciano, dj spinna, among others) besides the residents TIMMY REGISFORD and STING INTERNATIONAL for a good 18 hrs, and some great performances def one of the best parties ive ever been to. 5. Man does everybody tkae what i say way out of context now a days. I mean its funny cause it takes me back to this point in my lfie where me and my brother would go to record shops and spend hrs at all these places, rock n soul, vinyl mania, disco rama, etc, and well i was only 15 yrs old and i remember being in the store thinking i cant wait to get older to be a dj. Turns out i just became a dancer of sorts and dont wanna be a dj. Sorry liquid if my words bother ya i guess i shoudlve been more clear as to why it was funny to me personALLY.
  6. FUNNY THING ABOUT THIS MORALES SET AND HIS ESSENTIAL 1995 SET, IS I HAVE MOST of those songs in my record collection. Thank you for the link.
  7. Taken from another board: And women are the root of all evil, I can prove it! First we state that women require time and money: So: Women = Time X Money And as we all know “time is money†Hence: Time = Money Therefore by substituting Money for Time we get: Women = Money X Money Or:Women = (Money)2 And because “money is the root of all evil†we therefore can state: Money = (Evil)1/2 And Since: (Money)2 = Women And: (Money)2 = Evil Then we are forced to conclude by substituting "women" for "(money)2" from above that: Women = Evil Math don't lie, so it's gotta be true.
  8. You goin? as much as i love arturo and thinks hes one of the most exciting fighters of his era, he always gonna be 1 or 2 steps below the higher class of fighters. What do you think? But would still love to see him fight a ricky hatton though.
  9. dont care about making the money only caring about sharing knowledge abotus tuff i love, im a walking boxing encyclopedia as well if you wanna talk boxing.
  10. Both, but at the same time depending on what and where carl is playing he will show his musical roots and history combined with his modern sound as well. Check out a cd he released a while back called BACK TO MINE and look for his CHOICE cd in 2006, to get an overviewof his history and infliuecnce. Its funny how i have a friend whos a huge carl cox fan, but says he cant believe carl would make cds like that, but i had to remind him whats wrong? Carl has been around a long time and im sure has many styles and would be nice for his younger fans to learn more about what hes about musically.
  11. I guess it all depends on the individula, for some people me included this is a lifestlye while for others its only something they have fun with for a few yrs.

  16. Heres all the info i found, im guessing somebody from this board might no something about these djs/producers, cause i dont. Pockit Rockit 3 Year Anniversary Thursday December 22nd John Arnold and Ayro Live Ubiquity Records/Transmat Detroit Since the release of his debut Arnold has developed a completely live, non-stop electronic show bridging the gap between DJ and producer. This “freestyle” technique was developed with label mate and Detroit neighbor Jeremy Ellis. Both are trained musicians and studio scientists. Performing and creating tracks live allowed Arnold to test run music on the dance floor in front of a crowd. These improvisational moments were the inspiration for the Style and Pattern album. “Most of the music for the album was born out of live performances. These freestyle shows involve creating music from scratch; playing beats on the Akai MPC, looping them and playing keys on my guitar, while constantly looping and building,” explains Arnold. “It allows for true improvisation and I can explore all kinds of rhythms and music,” he adds. ARE Weapons Live NYC A.R.E. Weapons is one of the most interesting records ever to use disco electrobeats and synth washes for rock'n'roll effect; it's got raps and gang shouts and melodies and supercheap electronics ping-ponging and careening all over the place—I mean, it's one of the most interesting to officially use them for rock'n'roll effect. Disco, of course, has from the start been unofficially using itself for rock'n'roll effect, from Moroder to Flashdance to LeAnn Rimes. And if you don't think there's menace in disco, then you've just never listened to much disco, have you? And hey, A.R.E. Weapons would tell you that if you can't dance in the face of fear, then babe, you just can't dance Ge-ology Female Fun Records NYC According to Ge-ology Plays Ge-ology's liner notes, Ge-ology's first music group that he was ever involved in (under the name DJ Plainterror) included MC New York, aka Tupac. But that was just the beginning * Ge-ology's produced tracks for many, including Bahamadia, Platinum Pied Pipers, Mos Def, Vinia Mojica and Talib Kweli, and many, many more. Equally, or, perhaps better known for his visual arts skills, Ge-ology the artist goes by the name G-Young. You may recognise his work from Rawkus' Body Rock cover. Kimyon Pockit Rockit USA, NYC Kimyon is owner and operator of The Muvment, an New York based music, art and fashion production company responsible for dance events with an eclectic twist known for its resistance to the predictable club scene and its edgy undergound taste. Sujinho and Cassiano I Love Baile Funk NYC A great up to date mix of baile funk.
